Christ God the Father (2 Cor 5:19), as the author is contending, would
not Christ, who (according to the author) is God the Father, being in
Philip (Jn. 14:20) and in all who have the hope of glory (Col. 1:27) also
make all those God the Father? If not, why not? (bible.ca)
No. Because the fullness of the Godhead was in Christ
bodily, that is, God who is spirit was in a human bodily form or as we
say, an incarnation. Meaning, the only spirit that was in the flesh called
Jesus was God. He did it for the purpose of the cross, to save the world
or as it states, to reconcile the world unto himself. Now, is that the
case for another human flesh. No. We are humans with our own spirits (souls)
in our own flesh given a measure (John 3:34)
of God’s spirit. Hence, we are the Sons of God and not God. |
