he chooses us, rather than us choosing him, is there a Biblical choice
that we are given? He pulls us to the decision table and
then says, "...CHOOSE you this day WHOM YE
WILL SERVE; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on
the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites... but as for
me and my house, we will serve the Lord" -Joshua 24:15. "See, I have set before thee this
day life and good, and death and evil; In that I command thee this
day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in His ways, and
to keep His commandments...that thou mayest live..." -Deuteronomy
30:15-16. "And why call ye me, Lord, Lord,
and do not the things which I say? Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth
my sayings, and doeth them... is like...a man which built an house, and
digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and...the flood...could
not shake it... But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that
without a foundation built an house...and...it fell; and the ruin of that
house was great" -Luke 6:46-49. “To day if ye will hear his voice, Harden
not your heart, as in the provocation” (Ps 95:7-8). {Source: Tom R}. |
