Dbl O, pronounced "double-oh."

Is there anyone out there who still hasn't heard the name of this club? A modern, chic club designed for those who are out and about, for those who appreciate a truly metropolitan clubbing experience. It's for the young (at heart, that is), hip and trendy.

Saturday nights are retro nights there, but it's more the upstairs half of the club where it's all those familiar but yet just beyond the clutches of your memory - songs you grew up listening to, even if you didn't know them at all. Madonna, Camouflage, Depeche Mode, Wang Chung, you name it - it's there. Of course, there're danceleaders trying to lead the crowd in cheesy movements - follow them if you wish, at your own risk, of course...

More an R&B person? Try going downstairs, where it's definitely more crowded (because it's smaller,) the EPL showing on the telly, but when we went down after being on the retro dancefloor once already, the crowd wasn't even in the groove yet! Poor melvyn. HAHAHA. Not that we care, mind you, but still. I, for one, am not a huge fan of R&B - retro/house/dance is more my cuppa so wells.

The dancefloor upstairs was packed - but not to the extent where it was just a huge mass of flesh. Plenty of room for you to dance, and if you're smooth enough (or your friends are garang enough) you can get up on to the dais, or get yourselves some ladies (we did...here's a shoutout to marie, iris and the cool lady who danced with us...HELLO LADIES!) Couple that with music which you can sing/shout along to, oh-so-catchy refrains, and well...getting yourself high with alcohol/fags/whatever makes your day, and you have it made. Just have a good time, let your hair down, and be playful. Guys, you never know what you're gonna get...

One thing, however - if you're just out to get girls, you can get ready to get snubbed. If you're out to have a good time, everything will click into place. So lay off the buayaing already huh. However, if you have a good measure of charm, do put it to good use aye.

Who can forget liquor? Okay, well, my boss treated us to drinks so it's different. Anyhow, it's one-for-one from midnight to 1 a.m., so don't miss the opportunity! Breezers go at 6 bucks apiece, but we had a coupon which got us Breezers for 4 bucks...Anyway, we drank til we got a buzz before hitting the dancefloor...and that, i must say, really spiced up the night...a lot...there're also scantily-clad ladies walking around with syringes...their goods, however go for 6 apiece. Ask them what's inside first! And if you're generous enough, you may get a bit extra on the side...yes that's if you get lucky however. Who knows? Give it a shot...figuratively, and literally!

Just go there, drink and get playful...laissez le bon temps rouler!
