Deployment:
What impacted the game the most was the out of place Stank, I lured Bill into
deploying it way on his left flank near some fast cav.
It never did anything but kill some fast cav the whole
game. My whole army was on MY left side.
Turn 1: A
general advance of the TK. Bill shoot his canons and hit the prince's
and kings
unit. The prince and the king made a look out sir and lost a chariot
from each
unit. King charged some knights in the magic phase and blew through them.
Turn 2:
My carrion attacked a lone warrior priest and he spent the rest of the
game
fighting them. The kings unit overran and set up for a beautiful flank
shot for
Bill's canon, but it misfired. My swarm popped and made the helblaster crew flee. My Prince charged a unit of spearmen in
the magic phase. They broke the detachment and killed a bunch of spearmen. The
spearmen
held. The arch lector was out of place too, near the Stank, Bill was
trying to
move him and the knights back into place. I move 24 skellies
and 3 chariots to intercept.
Turn 3.
Bill's shooting is done as the king blows through the canons in the
magic
phase and the helblaster crew runs off the board. The
prince finishes with the spearmen and pursues off the board to avoid
a flank hit from some other spearmen who had maneuvered around. Bill's
Arch Lector's unit fails a fear test and doesn't charge my chariots.
Turn 4.
The king is advancing toward the last unit of spearmen with the full
support
of both liche priests and a fully healed 6 strong
chariot unit. The Prince reappears. The Stank is finally turning
towards the battle. The arch lector's units of knights have been reduced
by two due to 3 arrow shots, and the spearmen are about to face the prince and
king's unit. Bill just had a small unit of knights with the lector, some
spearmen, and the stank left. He was a good sport about it
what had happened and conceded.
Thoughts:
My catapult came up empty for the 5th game in a row. It is now being replaced with
the bone giant. I have terrible luck with the thing. Bill had some really bad
luck at points; his dice didn't cooperate at all sometimes. The Stank is no big
deal if it isn't in the middle of the battle. My king and prince with the chariots
can go into the front of a unit of infantry and win most of the time since they
have unit strength 19.
