Saturday was very long thanks to the delay in actually getting to the event.

Game 1 vs Dave T.
Standard Pitched Battle.
Turn 1 - not much happened other than a little bit of movement, oh and
dave's cannon decided to explode
Turn 2 - spawn rams into some flagellants where it remainds most of
the game. dogs charge some Pistolers only to lose combat and be ran
down. Giant causes terror's off the mortar crew who never rally and
the Pistolers run away like dogs when they bounce off my Khorngors.
Khorntaurs charge his general's unit while my other chariot smashes
into its detachment. Chariot causes massive damage while the
Khorntaurs fail miserably and run away. Oh, and he puts 3 wounds on
the giant with ARCHERS
Turn 3 - chariot chargers unit with BSB to support the Khorngors but I
guess it was made of rubber as both units break causing my general's
herd to run as well, spawn and my beastherd with my general charge a
detachment who win combat handily but panic off as their friends break
from combat. Ambushers charged a unit of free company with a warrior
priest and put the smack on them, they break and are run down. One of
my chariots is charged by a unit of archers in the flank and loses
combat, it gets away.
Turn 4 - Khorntaurs fail to rally on an 8, weee. General's unit rallys
and my ambushing herd smashes a unit of pistoliers.
Memory is getting fuzzy as the food starts flowing and we start getting rushed.

I have quite a bit left on the table while Dave only has the remaining
flagellanets, about half a unit of free company with the BSB, about
half a unit of swordsmen with the general and a unit of free company
detacment left.

Game 2 vs Isaac Garcia (Skaven)
Magic Flux
I was worried going into this one. He had the Grey Seer, an upgraded
engineer, 3 x 2 units of globadiers, 6 censer bearers, large unit of
plague monks, 5 jezzails, 2 ratling guns, a WLC and a unit of gutter
runners
Turn 1 - Everything moves up on my turn. He wipes out a unit of dogs
with shooting and the WLC comes up WAY short on range while magic
proves inneffective. Wooo.
Turn 2 - Giant charges a unit of globadiers, general's herd charges
the gutter runners, 2 chariots and my Khorntaurs charge the censer
bearers. Giant eats a globadier and they run from being outnumbered,
censer bearers disenegrate allowing the crucial overrun into the
plague monks. Gutter runners run away with the general pursuing off
the table. Panic sends another unit of globadiers running.
His 2 - He charges a large unit of clanrats with the grey seer and the
bsb into my Khorntaurs which are also in with the plague monks. Magic
is dispelled or not cast, ratling guns don't cause enough wounds to my
ambushing herds while the WLC misfires and disappears, brass orb
misfires but the skaven doesn't take any damage. :( Chariots and the
one Khorntaur on the plague monks decimate the unit. clan rats + grey
seer + bsb do a wound to me and in return the Khorntaurs put the smack
down. Both units are auto-broken and run down while panic causes
EVERYTHING within range to run.
Turn 3 - I'm in mop up mode and we call it.
He has a giant rat pack left on the table with 3 herds and a spawn
within distance.

Game 3 vs John Bailey
Breakthrough

Deployment is interesting as it is on the dwarven mine table. I put
my two best combat units on the flank where they don't do squat.
Didn't ambush while I should have to take out the chukkas. Poor dice
rolling (snakeyes) allowed an untouched herd to be run down by
snotlings who were pursuing my dogs (after they passed a break test on
a 3 and a terror test on a 5). Should have focused more on getting
off the board with my Khornetaurs and Khorngors.
That would have

swung the points to a win in my favor.

Had a blast and the best part is a HAWGS guy took home the FIRST EVER
BEST GENERAL AWARD in SA!
