Game 1 Grude match against Chris's Dwarves (they beat me last time....GRRRRRR!)

Deployment went well, i got the side i wanted, but magic flux is horrible horrible scenario...no spells off at all for the entire game.  Spent much of the game moving up, gotta love elvish quickness.  Nothing big first turn cept for his cannon hittin on of my treemen, doin 4 wounds to it darnit!  Second turn, Glade riders charged some gunners, treeman moved and terrified a block of dwarvish warriors (RUN STUNTY RUN!)  Glade riders were gunned to heck for their worries, stupid armour peircing guns.  Archers do little damage (darn dwarvish toughness).  Turn 3 treeman charges some gunners on a hill, wardancers charge cannon crew, other set of gunners panic cause the warriors that were terrofied are still running, dryads charge trollslayers (Str+1 aspect), and dancers get in a side charge (str+1 dance).  Results of combat...troll slayers mostly gone, cannon crew reduced to 1 guy.  He charges into my dryadas and wardancers with his big block of dwarves (thane in there too), i used 6's to hit on the dryads and strip ranks i think with the wardancers (i have like 4-5 dancers left).  All but 2 dryads die, and i still have most of the dancers...i lose combat an run, out of charge range thank god.  Rally my wardancers, glade riders move up and charge some lone stunty, some sort or mean guy with 1st strike rune or something.  My general hurls a bolt through a dwarf lord who charges him, and gets a hunting lance through his head for his worries.  After this my wardancers charge his big unit of dwarves with a thane in there, i use killing blow for the hell of it.  Killing blow his thane and his unit champion (both were nominated as tragets).  At the very end of the game he gets off a pot shot and kills my general with his bolt thrower.  Over all a decisive victory for me.  I think he went into -1 for vicotry points over all but it counted as a 0.  Sorry there Chris, but i guess we settled that battle of the Elf v Dwarf war.  Over all a good game, and Chris was a great sport.

Game 2, Jason's Brettonians

Okay, normally, i HATE armies with heavy armour (chaos, brettonians)...but i saw a nice amount of low armour units so i was happy, came into this game with bad expectations (did i mention i HATE heavy armies?)  Set up my archers to counter his (i mean seriously, woodelf achers v peasent bowmen?).  Turn 1, move into position, kill about 10 of his archers and move my banner of the lynx riders to draw a charge from his knights.  Magic ends with me master of Wood into his Pegasus knights, killin 2 out of 3, not bad, go MAGE!  Things go bad as he kills my treeman one his charge, but his trebuchet missfires and rolls a 5 for the result, so i dont need to sweat it for 2 more turns.  His knights go for the charge on my lynx carrying riders, they run and make it out saftly (gotta love fast cav) which leaves his knights in perfect postion to be charged by my treeman and dryads.  He runs, so my dryads redirect into his other unit of knights and my treeman get in on em too, my archers (having paniced his archers las round) decided to shoot at the fleeing knights, and one of the knights went down with a arrow shaft in his back.  Since he killed my treeman and moved up he barely missed hittin my dryads on the other side, so he had a unit of knights sandwiched between 8 dryads and 8 wardancers....hmmmm....i wonder what they are gonna do?  In the bloody battle that ensued i think he went from 9 knights to 2.  The knights promply fled.  Basic battle ensued after that, with the woodelves winning in the smaller ones...a pegasus knight charged my forest lord only to be shot at and die for the attempt.  I ran my glade riders off the table edge, and probably should have flown my general off at this point, but he had the battle lust goin and i couldnt bring myself to get him.  The battles turned when his annoying yeomen charged the Treeman and did a wound...a yeoman...wounding a treeman...will the flukes of war never cease?  Anyway that turned sour...i almost had his general with my dying tree wack, but i rolled  1 to wound...game ended in a draw, all because i ran the glade rides off and he blew my general away with a trebuchet shot...things that could have turned a draw to a win...leaving 1 unit of glade riders to charge the trebuchet (wouldnt have lost my general) and the 1 to wound with treewack (str 10, needed anything but a 1 to wound...go figure)  Over all an amazing game...Jason...u rock man....easily one of the better games i have had in a while.

Game 3, Kyles Khorne Mortals

Okay...seriously...The Cox Bros and I should NEVER be allowed to play each other...NEVER...we already know eachother inside an out.  Turn 1 ended up with me Hail of Dooming his Chariot (wounding 2 or 3 times, not sure) and peppering his Chaos Chosen knights on foot with arrows...suprisingly enough dropping 1 or 2, heck...thats a unit of archers that is gettin its point back (i think i killed like 6-8 over the course of the game, GO ARCHERS!)  It was a basic down and dirty fight, us going about it like we normally do...many dead on both sides...i think Kyle was getting annoyed when he wasnt winning as easily as he thought he would...at the end all he had was 10 chosen footknights, his general and i think 3 mounted chaos knights.  If the game had lasted even a turn more...it would have probably been a draw or a loss for him, as he just couldnt get a bead on my Lord to charge him.

Overall 1-1-1

Things learned or should be considered

a. Cox bros and I should NEVER be allowed to play each other in a tourney (heheh)

b. There is a reason brettonians and woodelves are usually allies

c. I hate warmachines...bolt throwers, trebuchets...ALL ARE EVIL!

d. Having an almost entire skirmishing army is do-able and very fun!

e. Standing an shooting with a bolt thower is a GOOD thing hehe (not bad for 55 points)

f. Banner of Lynx = can charge after rally...very good!

g. (i knew this before but i love it anyway) Killing blow...so beautiful it makes me want to cry

h. Chaos...mean...mean, mean mean...

That is all...have fun and good gaming
