The most succesful Eurovision song ever was "Save Your Kisses For Me" by Brotherhood Of Man, which recieved 80.4% of the total votes available. The song is also the biggest selling entry, reaching the charts around the world, and giving the group the first of their 3 British number 1's. 1976 was the second year in succesion that the opening act took the title, as Teach-In had performed first the year before when they were crowned champions.
