WINNING SONG TITLE PERFORMER COUNTRY COMPOSERS
A-Bi-Ni-Bi Izhar Cohen & Alphabeta Israel Nurit Hirsh & Ehud Manor

For the first time in it's history, a country outside of Europe geographically won the contest. It was said that A-Bi-Ni-Bi was the best performed of 20 bad songs, including the UK's song, which finished 11th, and acheived the Uk's worst placing to date. A sort of record was set during the scoring, as Israel didn't receive a top mark of 12 until the ninth country had voted, when the winning song usual scores a top mark within the first 5 votes.
