WINNING SONG TITLE PERFORMER COUNTRY COMPOSERS
Why Me ? Linda Martin Ireland Johnny Logan

1992 saw the 5th occurance of the top two songs being performed alongside each other, and also saw the first time the top three songs being sung in English. It was Johnny Logan's third win (twice as singer, and once as composer), which is record that still stands. There was controversy over the Swiss entry this year, after it had been sung in French and not been selected, then translated into German, and duly chosen to represent the nation. It was disquallified, and Daisy Auvray took her place with "Mister Music man", which came 15th.
