Visit Holland September 2003.

The voogel family went to Holland for 10 days to visit Oma Tina and to attend 2 weddings: Bert & Jitske and Martijn & Sonja.

How exciting, in the airplane. We’re on our way.

Anna loves to play with Tima at oma Tina’s house.

Oma’s house is a very cool place with lots of new things to discover.

The castle, dinner and party

Nothing but good things to say about Bert                                 Signing of the klomp (wooden shoe). Frank Remmers spent

many hours hand-crafting this paper-mache wooden shoe on a

snowboard. It was filled with envelopes, hundreds of them, most

of which were empty. The happy couple spent hours during their

honeymoon opening them to find the few that had money inside.

What can one say?                                           Thanks you Frank!

Visit to the Wessels family in Zeist. Their new house had recently been finished. It was designed by Birgitta, VERY nice! Elisa and Stella left.

The second wedding in Hoorn: Martijn & Sonja. Martijn lives very close to Martin, in Silicon Valley, but decided to get married in Holland.

They were picked up by a “koets” (horse carriage) which was a total surprise to them arranged by Martijn’s mom.

Wedding ceremony in the Westfries Museum, by a dutch lady in English.

Visit to Femke, Egbert (not in picture), Winnie (middle) and Nino (left). More pictures will follow from Oma.

Back in California: mudfest

And a photo of oma Tina’s place in Indonesie, where she spends quite some time every year.
