My Conversation With Napoleon The Mule

    [15:35] Vorona> Yes?
[15:55] [VotHW]Napoleon> why did you assist BoS/UDL last night?
[15:57] Vorona> We do not assist them. They assist us. <-- that's the attitude
[15:57] Vorona> From a rp standpoint, our point of contact with them is Veto.
[15:58] [VotHW]Napoleon> well, our war with BoS/UDL originally did not concern vra'akar
[15:59] Vorona> Your wars are not the thing about you that is of primary concern to us; your presence and position in the desert is.
[16:00] Vorona> Had you no city in the desert, especially one where it is, it is unlikely we would keep seeing you.
[16:02] [VotHW]Napoleon> well, don't be surprised when you get what's coming
[16:03] Vorona> You surprised me once at a well, sir.
[16:04] Vorona> Nothing since then has been totally unexpected, including what's passed between you and others.

In or out of character, they really display a terribly arrogant attitude-- as any well-blooded horse should, an apologist for them might point out. However, they have not lived up to my first meeting with them as far as their characters and characterisation go. I'm not surprised their enemies seem to be multiplying beyond, well, just us.

Also, may I just say for the record... Napoleon is very dense, and unlike he after whom he is named hasn't being French as an excuse. I almost went for a more aggressive tone... "We will drop by your desert cities or any of your cities whenever we please and if we find you besieged so much the worse for you"... but I did not. But, really, it's not as if we needed an engraved invitation from the Brotherhood, nice though the cream-laid paper and copperplate script were to see. "(O)riginally did not concern vra'akar ", my BRAYING ASS.
