Current Update

Why Too Kay? Two who? Ach, Happy Imbolc!

A BLESSED BRIGID'S DAY TO ALL! Or Groundhog's day, for those of you attuned to the American Secular Calendar.

And for those of you asking, "What's Imbolc?" I offer the following links: The Witches' Voice, week of Jan 31 and "You Call It Groundhog Day, We Call It Imbolc". Here in Boulder, it looks like we'll have 6 more weeks of winter in the afternoons but an early spring in the mornings. Go figure.

And while we're discussing natural phenomena, did you catch that stunning lunar eclipse a coupla weeks back? Gonna stick around for the next one?

IN OTHER HOME IMPROVEMENT NEWS, The frame finally came in for our Yule Present (at right); it's now on our wall and is absolutely gorgeous.

WRITING NEWS: The final edit went to Mercurial about a month ago. Haven't heard from them since, nor from The Ink Blotter. On the other hand, I did finally get a response from Illumination Arts regarding Kit's First Spell. Okay, it was a rejection letter. But it was a multiple choice rejection letter that had circled "Nice story," "Well written," and "Does not meet our present needs." That's about as nice as you can get without being personal! I think Kit's going to visit Cricket Magazine next.

I'VE BEEN BAD... 'Fraid I've been working and cross-stitching and playing games more than I've been writing or updating this web site. Maybe next week I'll tell you about that.

With nothing much to show for it,

(Niki)
