mornings  begun with news-
papers and radio announce-
ments to be continued thru
meals taken to the tune of
the TV droning words words
words words on the air and
conversation idles the mo-
ments  otherwise  spent in
uneasy avoided  gazes dis-
tracted  we  glance up  at
the advertisements  posted
on  the #72 back  home  to
where the night lamp scars
our eyes as we struggle to
turn one more page just to
finish  this  chapter
