THE CREATIVE PROCESS IS A FOUR-PART PROCESS

Step one, is knowing what you don't want. That part's not hard, is it? Easy to know what you don't want.

Step two, is knowing what you do want. That part's easy too. It's a product of step one because when you know what you don't want you always, in that moment, know much more clearly what you do want.

Step three, is once you know what you want, you have to feel it. Step three-- that's the step most of you miss, and that's the most important one. Once you know what you want, you have to feel it.

FEELING YOUR DESIRE

Feel it by appreciating and allowing instead of wanting and yearning. Now, when we use the word "want", for most of you, just the word "want" puts you in instant yearning. Most often, when we are talking to a group of people about what they want, they're talking about what they don't have yet. In other words, wanting identifies what is wanted, but what else does it identify? Where you stand relative to it. So every time you say, "I want something," you have an immediate awareness of where you stand relative to it. So if the "where I am" is dominant in the wanting, then the wanting is yearnful. If the appreciation is dominant, then there's no lack. So most of you who want are vibrating in a way you can't get it because your awareness is, "I don't have it, I've never had it, I don't know anybody who's got it. The odds are that I won't get it." You see what we're getting at?

Where, if you are appreciating, then you take the lack out of it. Here's a good analogy for that. See yourself standing in front of a picture window, a display window of some kind, and what you see in that window is something you really, really want. It's as if whoever put the window togetherknew you. You cannot afford it today, but you really, really want it. In fact, you are yearning for it. Can you feel that? Now take the same window. You cannot afford it today. You really want it, but instead of yearning for it, which is full of lack, you're just purely appreciating the splendor of the window. Feel the difference?

ALLOWING

So you must want without lack in order to allow. Well, how does somebody want without lack? They say to us, "Abraham, of course there's lack. If there wasn't lack I wouldn't want it. In other words, if I had it, I wouldn't be in this place of lack, and I wouldn't want it," and we say, there's really a critical telltale offering there, isn't there? In other words, are you saying to us that wanting, that the word "wanting" is like the word "money", that it implies, or it has a vibrational undertone with it that says, not enough? It does, doesn't it? So here's what we are recommending. We recommend that as you find these touchstones, by going back into your memory, that you also begin to more selectively use your phraseology. In other words, instead of using a word like "want" which automatically makes you feel a little lackful, start using the word "appreciate", which doesn't have so much lackful intonation. Instead of saying, I want more money, begin saying, I appreciate the freedom of independence. Can you feel the difference in the way it feels? What your work is is to find the feeling place. And so, any way you can creatively go about it is what your work is.

FINDING THE FEELING PLACE

You're living the balance of your thoughts. Now, thought is desire, that's thought. Thought as belief, that's thought. So let's say that you believe a piano is going to fall on your head but your desire to live long, healthy, happy experience is more dominant. And all of those thoughts are sort of mixed in there together, so what happens is, the lackful belief and the positive desire sort of mixed together and you sort of live a balance of the two. In other words, you don't live the extraordinary life of connection that is possible but you also don't live the life of wretchedness...in other words, you live the balance of those thoughts. What we've noticed with most of you is that you flow your Energy about 50/50 on most subjects, and that's why nothing really good or really bad happens to most of you. Then what happens is, it's an interesting thing, how you'll have a little thought about something, which will attract a little information, a bigger, bolder condition, and then, what happens next, depends on how you respond to that condition. The sooner that you recognize Step one, "know what I don't want," Step two, "identify what I do want," and Step three, "find the feeling place", the more you are able to take that creative control in those life experiences. You see what we're getting at?

1. Step one comes to you rather easily; you know what you don't want.

2. Step two comes to you rather easily; you know what you do want.

3. Step three is your work: find the feeling place.

4. Step four the Universe delivers to you, you see.

FLIPPIN SWITCES & PLUGGIN IN

So the way you are able to monitor all of this is you can literally tell by the way you feel. And at the end of the day, if you say, "this was a great day," that's an indicator that you allowed your vortex to be open and a lot of that Energy was flowing. You see the electricity surging...you don't see it, but you know or you assume that it is there, surging through the walls of this room. But until you flip a switch or plug something into an outlet, you do not ask for the electricity. So it's there, you're just not utilizing it. Well, the same thing with the Nonphysical current.

(The electricity, by the way, is a by-product of this Nonphysical current.) You don't understand it -- you've just learned how to flip switches.

So in the same way -- as you would plug in your toaster or your tape recorder -- by identifying an object of attention and feeling good about it, you've flipped a switch. So the more you hold those circuits open, then the more Energy flows, and the more Energy flows, the more momentum there is, and the more momentum there is, the more power there is and the more speed there is. But if you're opening and closing, opening and closing, then you've got this sort of sporadic sort of stuff, so it goes good for a while but then it slows down. And so, you can tell by the way you feel whether you're allowing or disallowing that current. Good.
