Typical sound for this tour (not really good). Some entertaining banter from Stipe.
Notes:
-Stand is intoduced as 'The stupidest song written by man.'
-See No Evil is introduced as a 'A song that is filled with moral integrity and personal liberation. It was written especially by someone else for me.
-before Superman, MS: 'Before we go into this next slaughter of songs, I'd like to thank Robin Hitchcock & The Egyptians for opening up the show. I'd like to quietly applaud everyone who stayed quiet during the very, very quiet parts of this evening. The sound of one Micheal clapping (someone on stage starts whistling, as if bored). I would like to introduce a native of your city here, born and raised in your city here. I think it may be his birthday in your city here, Mr. Peter Holsapple.' He then goes on tho the usual plugs and intros, and MM is introduced for Superman.
Before Sitting Still, MS introduces Morris and his amazing suit, who played congos on King of Birds.' he goes on to say 'I'd like to point out a little fact that Mr. Holsapple and I became aware of watching Robyn Hitchcock & The Egyptians. There's other living mammals in this arena. They're called--yes let's hear it for other living mammals. They're called bats, and they circle above the stage. Has anyone else noticed them? Raise your hand.MM(?):You're lying!. MS: But I saw them and so did Peter.
