I will designate and build lanes for non-motorized (bike, rollerblade, dogsled) & unconventional transportation methods (snow-machine, dirt-bike) alongside certain new and existing roads and trails.

I support reinstituting municipal bus service to all State Ferry Ports and Airports. We are out of compliance with the Federal Intermodal Surface Transportation Equity Act, (ICETEA) Capital Transit Busses should run every half hour during the day and on sparser schedules throughout the night.

Patty's proposed transportation services will be supported with grants and by spreading taxes across all aspects of the automotive industry.

I oppose Fast Ferries due to their instability in all weather and poor safety performance at high speeds. They use excessive amounts of fuel and erode the coastline, a valuable shared asset.

Repeated attempts to move Alaska's capital have been fueled by the lack of road access to it.

If the capital is moved Juneau will suffer greatly.

If a road is built our economy will boom. Products and services will become more accessible and cost less.

Atlin is Juneau's closest road connection to the rest of North America.

DOT Engineer Jim Nelson surveyed the West and East side of Lynn Canal, Point Bishop and the Taku River, oversaw bridge designs for two separate crossings of the Taku across the face of the magnificent Taku Glacier 20 years ago.

I favor a road to Atlin, BC but I do not want a road on Bishop Point. It would make a better scenic walkway and bike path. A road following the mining railroad route from 100 years ago up Sheep Creek is a preferable auto route to the face of the Taku Glacier.
