"Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
Isaiah 41:10 {NIV}

Because the Lord is our light and salvation, we have no reason to fear or stay discouraged.  Even though we may experience emotions of fear or discouragement at times in our lives as God's children, we are told not to allow them
to be a part of our Christian walk.  Fear is the opposite of faith and ends in failure if allowed to remain in one's life. Faith conquers fear and it is said when we partake of God's Word, we "feed our faith" and "starve our doubts".

Many people do not have a balanced 'spiritual diet', and therefore suffer from fear, doubt, and disbelief because they do not know or understand the promises and provisions of the Lord.  For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Tim. 1: 7

Salvation is also being "safe in the Lord" as we have been redeemed from sin and given the promises of the Lord.  There is nothing which can harm our soul if we obey the Lord except fear itself, or our neglect to follow God's laws and advice to lead a successful life in Christ.  If we fail to follow Christ, the light given us, then the darkness of this world and sin can enter in.

May we know that if we have the light of the world living within our hearts, we can follow on in confidence of victory in Jesus.  He is our light, life, love, liberty and lives forever as 'King of Kings and Lord of Lords'.

Fear must leave as faith looks up and takes hold of every promise of God in the name of Jesus.  Thanks be to our Lord for all he has provided for us as  we walk by faith each day. He keeps on giving as we keep on living by faith.  He will uphold us and we can stand secure with Christ as our Solid Rock.  Where else could we go which is completely safe from all harm,  except to our Lord?

The Lord is our Shelter in the storms of life and our Lighthouse to guide us safely home. Looking to Christ is looking to life as we live in his love.  Thanks to the Father for the strength He gives us through Christ, who is our joy and has made us free.

Blessings in Christ,

Secure in the Lord and walking by faith;
It matters not what comes our way.
Pressing on with confidence in Jesus our Lord;
We have the victory day after day.

When fear tries to come near; faith keeps us secure,
As we let our hearts trust in God's Word.
Faith crowds out the doubt and he wipes away every tear;
And we trust in each promise we've heard.

There is power in prayer, as the Lord meets you there.
He communes in fellowship so dear.
Your heart he will fill as his love he reveals;
We have a God who is always near.

So walk on by faith and stay in the race.
We are closer home than before.
Keep on the right path with his light shining bright.
Soon we shall walk on that heavenly shore.
