the| review- i found the harry potter very entertaining. however as a devotee to the books i was very dissapointed by the omissions made in the film. however i know that the film couldn't have had everything, and that the final, fully edited film went for approx 3 1/2 hours. the thing that impressed me the most, however, was the acting. some of the best actors and actresses in britain, including richard harris, maggie smith, zoe wanamaka, fiona shaw and john hurt were impeccable in their various roles and i was deeply impressed by their versatility. as for the kids, i thought daniel radcliffe was a bit formal as harry, and i definatelt felt he could have been cast better. rupert grint was fantastic as ron, though he doesn't look anything like j.k. rowling's descriptions, he never the less played the part brilliantly and made the film. emma watson was a grea hermione. she was bossy, know-all and square. i was very impressed with her. despite the obvious omissions, harry potter was a very good conversion. i felt that justice was done to the book as well as possible.
