Beginnings

It started off innocently enough: a novel way of capitalizing on the dance club appeal of disco for an I.S.C.W.R. fundraiser in 1994. Who could have known that it would go on to become one of Edmonton's most well-known and most enjoyed entertainment institutions?

Rehearsal started on April 11, 1994, in preparation for their July show. When that one-time gig came and went with such phenomenal response, the group decided to keep going.

Now, 15 years later, with well over 30 alumni and with countless shows from Vancouver to Toronto under their hard hats and headdresses, Edmonton's Impersonation Revue of the Village People is forever entrenched in the nightclubs and discotheques of the area. Join us now as we relive the history of this intractable group.
