Pallets
Two-Way Entry- A pallet whose bearers permit the entry
of lifting devices from two opposite directions only.
Four-Way
Entry- A pallet whose bearers permit the entry of lifting from four sides.
Single
Face Pallet- A pallet with only one deck.
Double Face
Pallet- A pallet with a top deck to take the load and a bottom deck to act
as a base.
Reversible Pallet- A double decked pallet with
similar top and bottom decks either of which would take a similar load.
Notched
Stringer Pallet- A pallet with the stringer notched to permit four-way
handling with a fork lift truck and two-way handling with pallet trucks.
Flush
Stringer Pallet- A pallet whose outside stringers are flush with the edge
of the deck.
Wing Pallet- A pallet whose deck or decks
project beyond the stringer to form a wing.
Single Wing
Pallet- (a) Single face pallet with the deck projecting beyond each side
of the outside bearers; or (b) a double face pallet with the top deck only
projecting beyond each side of the outside bearers and the lower deck flush with
bearers.
Double Wing Pallet- A double faced pallet with the
boards of both decks projecting beyond the stringer to form a wing.
Block
Type Pallet- A single or double faced pallet made with stringer boards
separated by blocks permitting four way entry.
