" Hello and Greetings to my George School classmates of 1954.  I am sorry that I will not be able to attend the Reunion because I will be recovering from an operation for a new knee.  This along with Parkinson's disease keep me at home for the gala occasion.  Ah, the blessings of getting older.  I have so many fond memories of my years at George School.  I went on to graduate from Wellesley College in 1958.  I then worked briefly at Henry Street Settlement in New York City until I got married to Richard in 1959 who is a Presbyterian minister. We raised two boys, one a banker and the other a teacher at a Quaker school.  When the boys were old enough and in school I went back to work as a Planner.  My best stint was with the Tug Hill Commission, an experimental environmental and planning program in Upper New York State.  I helped 28 towns and villages in an area bordering the Adirondack Park to manage their civic affairs. At the same time I earned a masters degree in Rural Planning.  We also found time to do a lot of traveling.  We live now in Middlebury, Vermont, a splendid small New England town.
Have a good Reunion."

" No photos to send.  Carrying on with life, practicing neurolory and sleep disorders medicine.  My partner now of five years, Mara, is slowly turning home into a slowly evolving lovely mixed garden of grasses and shrubs nestled in the redwoods on the northern California coast.  She has beaten the deer and the squirrels, but the bunnies still pose a problem."

"Ten years ago, we retired to Lakeville, Connecticut-4 miles east of NY and then ten miles south of MA- wonderfully convenient to both the Berkshires and New York City.  Here I see fewer people in a week than I saw every minute of every work day in NYC.  25 acres of country provides lots of time to work outside with all the toys that a retired person is supposed to own. Twitch a little finger in a small town and one has a "volunteer" job.  I had, I repeat, had, a too twichy finger!!! More time than I would choose is occupied as treasurer of the Historical/Land Trust Association and the Congregational Church, as President of the Board of the Norrthwest Center for Family Service and Mental Health and as a member of the local library board.  Thus I have fallen way behind in my tennis and book reading aspirations."

"Three grandsons are in New Canaan, CT, a grandson and granddaughter in Yardley, PA, and a very new granddaughter in Baltimore.  Its nice to have them all close enough to enjoy.  Mary works a day each week at the Ackerman Family Institute in NYC and has opened a family counseling office in Lakeville.

That's it in brief.

"Clara Montgomery Coan ('55) and I have 3 daughters, all graduated from G, and 6 grandchildren (5 mos to 7 yrs).  I have developed software that schedules classes in school that took me to China, Russia, Romani, and Germany, as well as 8 trips to Florida last year.  When time allows, I cut hay on the farm in Solebury.  Most of my clients don't know about the hay."
