Well,the family started out from two countries,
Canada and Ireland, although we have some alliances from Italy,
the Philippines, Greece, and Peru. Dennis White, my grandfather left from Dublin in 1895
and arrived at Ellis Island with the other immigrants.
I believe he went to join his sister who was
in Providence, Rhode Island before he met my grandmother,Gertrude,
who was from Reading, Massachusetts. I'm not sure how long they courted,
but my father, Allen Paul, was born in Somerville, Massachusetts in 1917.
He had one brother, Arthur. Later, my grandmother adopted my aunt Bernadette.
My grandfather was often away because he was
in the Merchant Marines. My maternal grandfather emigrated from New Brunswick.
He was an engineer and moved to Medford, Massachusetts.
He and his wife, Bertha, had four children.
My mother was Florence. She was born in 1919.
I guess my parents were introduced on a blind date
and were married in 1942. My older brother, David,
was born in 1943. They went on to have a total of eight more children:
me (Bobbi),Jeannette, Ronald,Susan,Paul,Stephen,Christopher,and Daniel. David married Luciana and had two children:Veronica and Alex. I have two children:Rachel and Noah. Jeannie married Joe Rukstalis and has two: David and Brian (adopted) Ronnie married Joyce has one Philip (adopted) Christopher married Anne and has two: Deanna and Dylan. Daniel married Karen and has two: Mitchell and Brook. I have four grandchildren: Johan, Nalayah, Jasmine and Julian and one more is on the way in the Spring.
