Voronezh
State Agricultural University is organized into 10
faculties: Agroeconomics; Veterinary
Medicine; Agroengineering; Agronomy; Animal Husbandry; Land Management;
Agrochemistry, Soil Science and Ecology; Technology; Agribusiness; Professional-Pedagogical
Education. The Agrouniversity is the largest scientific center
of the Central Black Soil Region, the generator of ideas on further
development and reforming of Russian Agriculture.

departments staffed with over 500 teachers, including 354 PhDs and Doctors
of Science, among them 70 Doctors of Science, Professors. Among
them 27 Corresponding Members and Academicians of various Academies,
23 Honored Scientists, Honored worker of higher education and agriculture.
The University
has large library, on what basis local network for 27 workplaces is
organized. 18 of them are located in the reading room for working with
electronic catalogue (over 50 000 records), subject-databases and electronic
magazines of referats. In the library there is also access to the Internet.
High
quality of training is traditional in the University, where specialists
in agriculture are trained for many foreign states as Hungary, Morocco,
Jordan, Senegal, Somali, Angola etc.
The Agrouniversity
takes leading position among the agrarian educational institutions of
Russia on the field of international relations.
Over the last 10 years 22 international investment projects have been
developed, every second of which on the results of tenders has got financing
from international funds, donor-organizations on the total sum over
10 million US Dollar.
In VSAU
there is a Department of International Investment
Projects, what works directly with the European Commission Delegation
in Moscow, Training Center of the International Labour Organization
in Turin (structure of UNO), European Training Foundation and other
international organizations.
The University
provides postgraduate courses on 41 specialties.
There are 10 specialized Academic Councils
for assessment of doctorial and PhD dissertations.
In compliance
with world educational market requirements a multilevel system of specialist
training is adopted at the University, including study
and research courses leading to BSc, MSc, PhD and DSc degrees.
During their study future specialists take special courses and integrated
period of work experience.
Scientific
and productive activities are closely connected at the University. On
the Chair of surgery new technologies of animal wounds, eyes diseases
and bone-joint pathologies treatment are developed, what are widely
applied in the leading agricultural enterprises of the Central Black
Soil Region.
The University
has comfortable hostels, refectories and a health center for medical
treatment and recreation.
For sports
enthusiasts there is a sport complex with 4 sport halls, skiing station
and aquatic sport station.
