Description and results from the observations of the Venus Transit - 08.06.2004

1. Description of the observation:
The observation was made from a place within the city with low buildings, which gave visibility to almost the entire sky. The observation covered the whole event. However, the meteorological conditions did not allow registration of all the stages of the transit. There was partial and variable cloudiness. Because of these conditions only two contacts were successfully registered - the first and the third ones. The team included two members. The observation was made with one telescope (TAL-1 Mizar). The contacts were observed directly and the remaining part of the event - by projection. Thus, the times of the contacts were registered by one of the observers. The time was given by a clock synchronized via Internet. The event was photographed with two cameras, one of which - digital.
