ACT Award Winning Director and VTC Artistic Director Suzanne Maloney (Few Good Men, To Kill a Mockingbird) returned with James Goldman's The Lion in Winter, whose rich characters provide an fascinating picture of the intrigues and alliances of English and French royalty and the struggle for power during the late 12th century.

Henry II, King of England must fend off his wife Eleanor of Aquitaine, and their Geoffrey, and Richard in order to get his son John on the throne and keep his young mistress Alais, all while keeping an eye on Alais's brother Philip, King of France!
