5. My Current Projects:

March 12, 1997        New

I just bought a 1969 VW 411 from a first owner. It was driven in Europe and was brought home to the Philippines. It is still in pretty good shape except for the defective clutch slave cylinder. It will be my current project car.

I need help on the information on the following:

1. Availability of the clutch slave cylinder with the following markings:  "Ate" "22" "VW" "20" .    Preferably a complete assembly but even a repair kit would do.

2. Availability of a repair and parts manual for the VW 411.

3. Additional URL's for VW 411 web pages where I could get more information.(Note: I already found the "Home for VW 411 / 412" courtesy of Gilbert Sy Chan.)

4. List of companies or stores that still sell VW 411 spare parts.

I am in the process of gathering VW Related Ads & Books as listed below. In the process, I am also Cataloging them.

a. VW advertisements and Articles in Non-automotive magazines such as Life, Look, Saturday     Evening Post, Time, Newsweek, US News & Business Report, Readers Digest, Popular     Science etc.

b. Non-VW Advertisements that includes the VW cars, logo or company name in the text or     photos. Example: Champion Spark Plugs /VW Ad

c. Non-VW Books, Pocketbooks, Textbooks, Childrens books that includes the VW cars, logo    or company name in the cover or as part of the story or article.

In other words, anything that has the VW car, logo or                               company name in it.

Anyone who has information (list, availability) on the above, please e-mail me, so that I can consolidate the list.

Anyone who has contact (names, addresses) with Doyle Dane Bernbach (DDB) AD agency archives, may please e-mail me, so that I can contact them and ask for a list, if any, of the Magazines and issue dates.

Anyone can give me information on the following? Is DDB the only agency they used? What other agencies were used? Names and addresses?
