I took a progressive photo journal of a walk from my front door down Kingsmill Avenue and along the Eramosa River in Guelph. It was an exercise in observation. I stopped and took a photo every 30 paces. I wanted to record the change in landscape and see how a series of still photographs would alter my perception of familiar spaces. I planned to walk further, but had to stop when my digital camera ran out of memory after 30 shots.
These thumbnails will not enlarge. The experiment is necessarily superficial. It can't capture all the details of scenery, life and human construction. I have published these images only to create a visual impression of the experiment.
