Judging was done by a panel of fashion designers. My entry took out a second prize and has appeared in parades in Armidale (see photos), Royal Easter Show (Homebush), and the Celtic Festival (Glenn Innes).
The porfolio for my entry is summarised below:
 TAWFA Design Portfolio
TAWFA Design PortfolioInspiration
Inspired by the futuristic idea of shiny metal and simple lines. This was portrayed by the use of metallic tulle and contrasting silver lining visible while walking, and by a simple cowl and the clear lines of the side-split.
Design
Adapted from a Butterick pattern: the wide shoulder straps were replaced with narrow metallic straps; the front neckline was redisigned as a cowl; and the back was changed to a low scoop with extra ease eliminated by the use of darts. The back kick-pleat was replaced by two thigh-length side-splits.
Presentation
The dress is designed for a slim figure, full in the bust. Minimal accessories are called for. Silver shoes will accentuate the line of the metallic tulle overlay.
