Photographs of the Villages (Part 1)
Beautiful morning at the village of Ghandrung, with Annapurna South and Hiunchuli at the background |
Trekking in Nepal is an unique experience as it brings you into the daily life of the villages and people living in the Himalayan foothills. There are several villages of the Gurung people conveniently located along the Annapurna Base Camp and Poon Hill trek, the largest being the village of Ghandrung. The villages offer places for trekkers to rest during the night or have a break and meals during trekking. Take time to look around the colourful villages and mix around with the people to have a better understanding into the simple life overlooking the majestic snow-capped Himalayan peaks. The photographs below and the next few collections will touch on the villages and Gurung people of the Annapurna region .....
