One of Dave’s rear kick panels (under the back seat, in front of the battery)was buckled, so he decided to replace both of them. Using the good one as a template, Dave cut two new panels out of masonite. He first tried to cover them with black naugahyde that he purchased at a local fabric store. He tried to glue the naugahyde to the masonite with contact cement -- a miserable failure, as the contact cement made a real mess of the naugahyde. So Dave cut a second pair and just painted them black.

Just another of those jobs necessary to make the car look "complete" :-)
