Suddenly you are swept into it, and everything around you seems to waver and wobble before you find yourself elsewhere. You are in an irregularly-shaped chamber which you'd guess to be somewhere underground. The floor, walls and ceiling of the chamber seem to be made of roughly packed soil and there doesn't seem to be any way out although there is an arch which stands alone roughly in the middle of the floor. It is night and the waning three quarter moon is hidden by the clouds. This is the street just outside the infamous Mended Drum pub. A sturdy door leads into the pub to the north (if you dare), and streets lead away to the south, east and west. A nearby sign, specially provided outside the Drum to aid the numerous drunken revellers, almost proclaims that south is Short Street and east-west is Filigree Street. There's a small table on the wall here. Crowds of people jostle you constantly, so keep an eye on your pockets... It is a damn cold spindlewinter's night with gusty winds, dense cloud cover and light snow. There are four obvious exits: south, north, east and west. A rat and a cockroach are standing here. A carriage is waiting here and a street lamp is here. group create dont ask [dont ask] You have joined the group. [dont ask] You are now the leader of the group. You begin an adventuring group. It is night and the waning three quarter moon is hidden by the clouds. You are perched on the roof of the Tower of Art. It's a mess of little turrets and parapets. The Disc stretches out in all directions: hubwards, rimwards, turnwise, and widdershins and you see nearly all of Ankh-Morpork from here. (This isn't necessarily a good thing.) The spiral staircase starts its journey downward to the west; in the other directions is just more roof. A coiled rope is here. It is a damn cold spindlewinter's night with gusty winds, dense cloud cover and light snow. There is one obvious exit: west Desolation Regnix and a raven are standing here. The rope doesn't seem to like this and tries to slink off. Better hurry up doing whatever you were thinking. You jump off. Desolation Regnix arrives from elsewhere. You are falling rapidly through the air. The ground is coming up to meet you very, very fast! There are no obvious exits. Desolation Regnix is falling through the air. Desolation Regnix follows you. Rats make great pets. Their amazing antics are also fun to watch! Rats love to play with people and are smart enough to play interactive games, such as hand-wrestling, peekaboo, tug-of-war and hide-and-seek. They can even learn to do tricks. They also enjoy being petted and may show their affection by licking their owners. One of the few drawbacks of rats as pets is their tendency to chew on things; the room where they spend their playtime should therefore be "rat-proofed". |
