The message board e.g. Yahoo Clubs, may be used for
writing ¡®Dialogue
Journals¡¯. ¡®Dialogue Journals¡¯ are free style writings
that you can use to express yourself on almost any topic. Students are encouraged to write back to
each other by replying, giving suggestions, advice or feedback to the messages.
Journals
are often used for developing writing topics, and they may additionally be used
to:
1. Confide your hopes.
2. Write about your own history: an
event in your family's past, a troubling
incident in your life, a change you have seen.
3. Analyze a relationship that
troubles you.
4. Explore your reactions to
movies, television, and music as
well as your readings.
5. Practice various forms or styles
of writing- poems or songs, for instance, or
reviews of movies or reports for TV news.
6. Pursue ideas - maybe a theory
about human psychology or business management that came up in class, or a
social concern.
7. Build ideas for specific writing assignments.
