Course Description
In this course students will have the opportunity to develop their fluency and accuracy in English through interaction with a wide variety of subjects of interest to young adults, with a focus on areas that engage their general leisure-time interests. All four language skills are covered with an emphasis on speaking and listening. Through the listening and reading exercises students will be exposed to the vocabulary and grammatical structures needed for them to discuss and write about their own thoughts and ideas regarding a particular theme.
Methodology
English is best learned in an environment where the four skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing are integrated around a common theme and purpose. The primary objective of this course is to advance the student¨s speaking ability in a measurable way through specified objectives and task based projects. Students will spend most of the class working in pairs and in small groups.
