Jerky,
    For the rear speakers you only want the midrange frequencies to add 
some rear fill.  Use the power from your head unit to power these and put 
a 2.4mH inductor and a 10uF capacitor in line with the rear speakers.  
These will cut out the bass, thus sparing your (blown) speakers and clip 
off the highs thus making the fronts domiate the soundstage.

     If you want more bass later I would recommend an SAS powered 8" or 
(get crazy) 10" bass tube.  I listened to a 10 in an acura that was 
fabulous.
