The Motley Fool was started by David and Tom Gardener. Apparently they are two brothers who were, at age 18, given $10,000 to invest from their father. Being bright young men, they took the opportunity seriously and tried their best. Father's teaching exercise hooked these two on investing. It's a habit they have yet to give up.
The Gardner brothers studied English in College. This is somewhat apparent from the richness of their writing in their two books. They have known Shakespeare and learned from him the wonderful way to communicate. They pass it around for others to redistribute. Visit the fool and see some of it there.
These two are truly wise beyond thier years. (To put it very unfoolishly.) You will find their staff as diverse as they are talented. You will see from articles presented here and on their website that their idea are quite comprihensable(sp) They have improved on existing models. The theory is well presented and clear.
