MY RV TRAVELS

We bought a 34' class A motorhome in 1990. For the first 3 years that was our only home. There were trips to Florida and Texas and Branson MO. In 1992 we went to Canada and worked there for three months.
In 1993 the west coast saw us and we had a wonderful reunion in Santa Maria, CA with many folks that had been at New Boston AFS. For many more years we used the motorhome to go to Lake Ossipee in Freedom NH for summers.
In 2000, after 10 years, we sadly sold the motorhome. Still liking RV travel, but wanting to scale back on size, my sights now are on a camper.
In 2002 we sold our FL home and moved to Ellijay, GA in the NW mountains.
In 2006 we moved to Statham GA.

Since 1999 January I have been looking on the internet for the best pickup truck camper.

Best to me meant lowest weight, a camper not wider than the truck, no need to add wider mirrors, and a shell model so that I can build into it what I want and leave the maximum of the floor space empty so that I can carry things. I have a Ford F-150 truck.

Four Wheel Campers

Four Wheel Campers of Woodland CA has five models.

MODEL TRUCK MODEL POUNDS WIDTH
Grandby full size, long bed 795 80"
Hawk full size, short bed 695 80"
Ranger mini/mid size, long bed 780 69"
Eagle mini/mid size, short bed 690 69"
Falcon mini/mid size, four door 500 69"
They also make these same size campers in shell models. I am interested in the Hawk shell, weight 530 lbs. The shell models have the overcab bed and nothing else. With this model I can add what I want and leave the maxium of floor space for transporting large items, my main objective. There is an option to have a wider door.

Has anyone a better suggestion for a camper?
, thanks.

This is not my truck or camper, it is a camper that I admire.

May I create web pages like this for you? , thanks.
