Shortly after the Korean War, Hongyeon is a 17 year old schoolgirl with a heart wrenching crush on her homeroom teacher, Suha. She begins hanging around after school just to be near him, and starts privately interpreting his every action to suit her own fantasy. She also begins writing confessions in her diary as a homework assignment. Her life begins to crumble, as Suha takes an interest in one of his colleagues, Eunhee, and an unspoken love-triangle begins to emerge.
