KWB vs. Skorch
|
KWB's First Promo! Boom. That is the first sound we are gifted with. The sound of thunder crashing overhead and now we are assailed by the constant sound of water falling upon concrete as a full fledged storm is in progress. It isn't long before a wet and bedraggled figure is seen trudging up the sidewalk, huddled to himself. Across the sky, there is a blue-white peal of lightning followed by another near deafening blast of sonic energy as thunder crashes in response to the lightning. The figure continues to trudge down the street, clothes stuck to him from the near-torrential rain. The camera zooms in upon the figure and we can see black hair hanging in curly strands that stick to the white skin of this man. A closer look reveals it's KWB, and his face is paper white. A look of horror still etched upon his face, and his lips move silently as if mouthing some sort of reassurance to himself. That is when we hear that all too familiar voice. Where are you going Stephen? KWB doesnt answer. He just keeps mouthing those soft reassurances to himself and continues trudging down the street. He turns a corner and the camera quickly pans up to see the intersection. The street signs read Oyster Pt. Rd and Jefferson Ave. and it is here that he made the left turn to walk down Jefferson. It is late enough at night that there is only very intermittant traffic going down this major road, and the streetlights and traffic signals are really the only signs of life outside the odd passing car. Again we hear that voice Really Stephen. Talking to yourself like this isn't going to help you any. Especially on a night like this. Was what was on that mirror really all that terrifying? Again, KWB doesn't answer. His lips continue to move though, as if chanting out some reassurance that will shield him against this voice. He has walked down 4 blocks so far of Jefferson Ave, and soon turns down a street called Middlesex Blvd., still huddled to himself as if cold. The storm raging around him shows no sign of letting up any as he soon turns down Omni Blvd. Again we hear that slightly taunting voice. Oh come on now, Stephen... Have you truly become so weak and so incapable that you need to seek out his help because of a small prank? It is apparent that it is growing harder and harder for KWB to not shout back at the voice taunting him. But it seems as if all is well. He is only about a half a block from the large, sprawling, glass doored hotel in front of him designated The Omni, and KWB quickens his pace. Soon he would be bursting in the door. The night auditor, a hispanic woman who looks to be about 25 moves warily towards KWB with a worried look ..Can I help you sir? ..Ashe Armstrong.. what room is he in? I don't know. Let me look it up. Is he expecting you? Just give me the damn room number! The woman eyes him a little suspiciously before going to her computer to search for the requested information. Softly, we can hear taunting laughter as the voice comes back to life. Temper, temper Stephen. She is only trying to do her job. No need to be so rude. That was more than KWB was willing to take...and without thinking his voice raises and be bellows. SHUT THE FUCK UP! The woman just looks at him a moment with a very distrustful look in her eyes before giving him the number. It was on the second floor so KWB ran immediatly for the stairs and began taking them two and three at a time. The only response we have is a bit of amused laughter. Nothing more. It doesn't take KWB long to reach the second floor of the building, and within moments he finds the appropriate door and begins to pound frantically upon the door. Ashe! Wake up! There is no response for a moment. KWB raises his hand to knock on the door again, but before he can, there is the sound of a lock clicking and the door cracking open a bit. KWB shoves the door open fully, bursting into the room, much to the surprise of Ashe. Ashe yawns heavilly, still trying to rub the sleep from his eyes and is wearing a pair of grey shorts and a black tank top. Seeing that KWB burst in the door, he closes it and mumbles softly ....Come in... Ashe looks over at a clock nearby and notes the time. 4:00 am. He sighs and looks at KWB B... its 4 in the morning...what the bloody hell do you want? I.. I can take it Ashe. It's non-stop. He won't go away and it's driving me insane. I mean.. really insane. Every time I turn around.. there he is mocking me! The tone in KWB's voice is growing frantic and he even grabs hold of Ashe and starts shaking him at the last of it. Ashe simply throws his arms up and whips out of KWB's grip before eyeing him. What do you want me to do? Something..Anything.. Just.. make it stop.. please... KWB looks rather ragged at this point. The frantic, near panicked look in his eyes combined with the drenched state he was in did little but make him appear all the more insane. And now is the time that Ezekial, the voice decides to speak once more. He speaks in a mock of KWB's frantic voice before letting his voice return to normal. "Something..anything..just..make it stop.." ...Just listen to yourself, Stephen. You are a disgrace. I should have left you to rot in that hospital. B... you've got a psycho voice in your head and you want me to fix that how? Didn't you just get out of the hospital? KWB's voice raises out of frustration and panick when he speaks Yes! But only because Ezekial went silent long enough for me to be declared sane enough to be let out again! Don't you see?! It's all part of his plan! It's all part of this.. this.. scheme he has to turn me into him! Very astute, Stephen. Very astute indeed. Too bad you will never be able to proove a single bit of it. Look at this, even you own best friend is having trouble believing you. Heh. Some friend he is no? KWB claps his hands over his ears and just yells at the top of his lungs I TOLD YOU TO SHUT THE FUCK UP! Ashe frowns and ushers KWB further into the room, lest his screaming start waking the other people on the floor. Alright B.. Alright. Settle down. It'll be alright dude. Just.. we need to get you to chill so we can rationalize all of this out alright? KWB nods a wee bit shakily and removes his hands from his ears as it seems that Ezekial has gone quiet once more. He follows Ashe's direction more into the room and flops down on a chair, having momentartily forgotten the fact that he was still drenched from walking in the storm. In the window, the storm still rages on with all of its intensity, but is starting to show signs of passing. Ashe moves towards the bed and sits on the edge and looks at KWB. Alright.. what the bloody hell has been going on lately to trigger this? ...The.. the BWF released me because of what Ezekial has been doing. They claimed I was too unstable.. And then..there was the hosptial..and ..and when I got out.. I got picked up by the PWA...since they reopened..and now.. now I got a match against Skorch on Friday and.. KWB just dropped off as apparently everything has just caught up to him and was just so overwhelming. He had attempted to hide it at first, but it was clear that not all of the moisture on his face was drying rain. At seeing this, Ashe takes a step or two backwards in shock of seeing his friend in such dishevelment. Of course, what Ashe does not hear is the mocking voice of Ezekial in the back of KWB's mind, his voice a mocking, angered hiss. "Waah! Waaah! I'm Stephen and I used to bust people's skulls open for fun and now I'm a little crybaby" ...You are so weak! You will always be weak! You good for nothing little.. Outside, the storm returned to full force as KWB had let out a sudden scream of just blind fury and launched himself at Ashe. Surprised by this sudden outburst, Ashe had little time to do anything save react, and he did so by unleashing a vicious kick square into KWB's face with his bad leg. His face twisted in pain at doing so, but KWB's sudden charge was halted. Outside there was a brilliant blue-white flash, followed by a crash of thunder so violent it shook the building and its surroundings, knocking out the power, sending the scene into pitch darkness, save for the occasional flash of lightning. I'm sorry about that, Bro..but you'll thank me later. |
