| A city of 12,000 Located in Calhoun County. Located on the Middle Texas Gulf Coast. Located along Lavaca Bay Calhoun County has many beaches and fishing hotspots along its surroundings.Many RV parks make it attractive for Tourists from the North and the different Wildlife and Plants make Port Lavaca a pleasant place to visit.Port Lavaca is located about 145 Miles South of Houston,Texas and about 85 miles North of Corpus Christi,Texas along Highway 35.If ever in the area visit Port Lavaca,Texas and Calhoun County.Calhoun County includes the cities of Seadrift , Port O Connor, Point Comfort and Port Lavaca.Port Lavaca is the County Seat of Calhoun County and largest city there. |

| The Port Lavaca Amateur Radio Club is made up of local Amateur Radio Operators in and around the area.Club meetings are held @ 7:00 Pm on the second Thursday of each month at the First National Bank on highway 35 in Port Lavaca,Texas.All club members are encourged to attend,and the club welcomes interested guests to visit the meetings. If you would like to listen in to the Activities of the club members as well as other amateur radio operators around the area.Tune in to 147.020 + with a P.L Tone of 103.5 The PLARC VHF Net Is Held Every Tuesday At 7:30 PM On 147.020 Mhz PL 103.5 |
