Wayne Laramore passed away, June, 2007.
I started collecting three years ago after seeing engines run at the Watermelon Festival at Hope, Arkansas. At first I purchased everything I found that I could afford. Now I have more engines than I can haul, so I am more selective of what I purchase. I travel with my wife Dot and my grandson Jacob to most shows. I am trying to get him interested. My next project is a 2 HP Rock Island with 24 inch flywheels.
Here are some of my engines.
1912 2 HP International Famous
1916 1 1/2 HP Fairbanks-Morse headless
1914 2 1/4 HP Associated
1948 IHC LB with burr mill
1931 1 1/4 HP Monitor with pump
Jacob and I at Hope with his FH Briggs I converted to a hit and miss side shaft
2 HP Rock Island (before)
2 HP Rock Island (after)
4 HP Majestic project engine
1 1/2 HP John Deere
