Quite a while back I wrote an essay that appeared in this space where I condemned HAL's stability issue. I took issues with some folks who kept blaming Microsoft and Windows for HAL's problems, and expressed strong opinion that Automated Living needed to get their act together and fix HAL.

With the release of version 4 of HAL 2000, they have done a pretty good job of addressing those issues.  HAL is far, far more stable than it has ever been, by far.

So I want to say Kudos to Automated Living and the development team that worked so hard to make it all happen.
