Breakaway - Kelly Clarkson

whoo hoo~! that's my new mini-poster of natalie coughlin i put up in my room. i got it from my si magazine. wow, she's amazing - she goes to berkeley and won 5 medals at athens (2 gold, 2 silver, 1 bronze)! natalie is also very pretty!

almost a week ago, i went to the circus with kat, erik, james, pat, elyse, belinda, bermillo, and adam. me and james had a moral dilemma once we got to the circus cuz ppl were holding up signs of how the elephants were not treated well. eventually pat told us "once and never again" since we aleady bought the ticket. so we went in. after the circus, we went to in'n'out and i enlightened james about the secret menu haha. and oh, i must not forget, this one is for you kat:

on a totally random thought and sight, i would like to share a picture of this five foot long snake i saw slithering around in my neighborhood. i think it's someone's pet, cuz what the hell would it eat in my neighborhood to get so fucking big?

ugh, first water polo practice tomorrow, four hours! yikes. im kinda looking forward to the season and kinda not. i want our team to be successful, but i dont want to get my hopes up. we'll see how we do this season. primal rage - yeah!

Big Machine - Goo Goo Dolls

challengerian reunion yesterday. it was fun! we went to great america. drop zone - omfg that was sooo coool! too bad we forgot to eat our funnel cakes :( but it was still hella cool. yay, i won a berkeley bball and a cow. anyway, after great america, we all went to borders to meet up with claire, but her slow ass took forever, so we went to jamba, finally she came. went to in'n'out - 3x3 animal style baby! then we went to applebee's where we saw ben lo! it was fun catching up on old times with fellow challengerians. laughed hella hard - good times :) after applebee's we went to raj's house to just hang out. played some mini-pool watched some nut slicing martial arts and just talked a lot. daym, i haven't laughed nearly as hard as i did last night all of high school. it felt really good - just like old times :) got home around midnight - plop.

Sadie Hawkins Dance - Relient K

i want any girl to ask me to sadie hawkins now :)

daym, thx to homolo.. this song rules! the best part of the song is "oh oH OH!" relient k is da shiet. i like their song mood rings too. some of u girls really need to wear mood rings.. lmao

another good song is 1985 - Bowling For Soup. 19, 19, 1985!!! oooh-hooo-whooo!

after 24 hour last nite, around 10 pm, i went to raleys to buy some milk and cereal. they were out of nonfat milk :( so i only got cereal and v8. when i was checking out, i noticed all the cashiers (all two of them..) were hella nice - they would have conversations with whoever was up. it struck me that cashiers never do this during the day time. but when night time comes they turn hella nicer when no one is around. and its not like no one was waiting in line, cuz i was impatiently standing with one hand on my hip and giving the cashier my snotty look (it didnt work lol). but yeah, the cashier had a 5 minute talk with this woman when there was like 5 ppl in line! crazy i tell you. at the end she even said "bye mrs. whatever her name was i forgot" - she even managed to find out her last name! so after raleys i still wanted nonfat milk, so i went to albertsons to buy it. yay they had non fat milk. i think i need to start buying berkeley farm milk cuz they dont have bovine growth hormones. anyway, i was checking out at albertsons when the cashier starts conversing with these other customers (i dont think they converse with me either cuz i look too young to have a good conversation with, or im just azn - racist bitches lol) but they started talking about the movie kill bill! like out of no where - ppl are hella random late at night. but the what kinda amazed me was ppl's willingness to share more of their thoughts - pretty cool imo. i like night time, its much more peaceful. and driving at night is much nicer too. very soothing. i dont like the rushiness during the day. anyone want to go with me driving at night?

on another topic - totally random here - if any of you guys have heard the awtr soundtrack, track 12 has this song called mother we just cant get enough by the new radicals. and in the beginning of their song, if u listen REALLY carefully, u can hear this girl in the back ground say "make my nipples hard! lets go!!" haha its cool.

whooo.. i feel eccentric today... oh yeah. olympics starting today! opening ceremonies! go USA WATER POLO!!! :) tony azevedo and the polo team made the SI mag this week! im so proud of them. go for gold!!!

Don't Know Why - Norah Jones

yay, i got a wireless mouse! its hecka tyte! no more restrictive, unprecise mouse movement!

i can wait for school to start. all the tests, homework, late-night studying, college applications - oh the joy. i can't wait for school to start. the enjoyment of fresh classes, seeing friends again, and the END of teaching tennis!

yes, i can't wait for summer to END lol. this entry is dedicated to my tennis kiddies - lol emily is a kiddie, not a pre-teen. anyway, today the boys hella annoyed me. OMB i just wanna smack them upside the head. they wont stop talking! and they ask helllla stupid questions - i swear they are gonna be just like adam in high school. iono if it is just their generation, but these are 11 year old boys. they dont fucking listen, it's not that hard to pick up balls rather than throw pinecones over the fence right? i swear i listened to my instructors when i was their age. shoot. the girls are better in this category. they can get kinda lazy though. nonetheless, they are interesting to talk to. grace's cousin kelly came along today. she's kinda cute and she's not that bad of a tennis player considering she never played before.

hm, iono if i really want school to start cuz i abhor waking up at 6:30 in the morning.. UGH.

La La - Ashlee Simpson [How Deep Is Your Love - Bee Gees]

ugh, i can't believe im listening to this crap. it's so god damn catchy. i think ashlee is a whore. she wants to la la in the kitchen on the floor. she likes it better when it hurts. she wants to role play as a french maid and an ally cat. she wants to be tossed around like a boomarang. she wants it in the airplane. daym what a whore. and she cant sing worth crap, have u seen her show? she like fuckes up 99% of the time it's funny. it's not fair, she gets hella money for singing like shit, while hella ppl work their asses off and get pennies compared to the big bux shes making. i realized u can make it in life as long as u choose the right things at the right time - u dont have to actually be good at anything... kinda crappy and unfair, but i guess it's cool at the same time. like that william hung guy, he's hella infamous. he comes out with an album and he sings on tours and shit? crazy i tell you.

check out my updated varsity jacket

Raging Waters!!

so i woke up at 8.. hella fucking early. i felt like i was waking up for school.. ugh.. but then i got excited cuz i was going to raging waters today! but first, i went to alex's house to videotape dunks. too bad for erik he couldnt go dunk cuz he is a slow ass cow. anyway, me and alex were on like some mix tape tour haha it was cool. i was like 1 or 2 inches away from a btwn the legs dunk! grrr. anyway, it was fun.

then we picked up erik and then went to pat's house. dude, pat is starving russell, what a mean ass motherfucker. russell hella shrunk! and omg, russell's nose is like a whole 'nother animal! it was like twitching and shiet hella crazy. lol alex was like stroking ben's face on a picture frame and ben was like "alex! what the hell are you doing?!" lmao. so ben took me erik alex and pat to raging waters. they had a pocket pc with gps feature so i decided to put my mile-instinct to the test! basically i would guess how often we covered a mile. i was hella accurate! i was like 0.02 and 0.01 miles off each time i felt we travelled a mile. only at the end i was losing it.. i was like half a mile off haha.

mr. smart lo inputed the directions to raging waters... but it turns out we the address pat put was a residential house! good job lo. lol anyway, ben saw this entrance but he was like "that cant be the entrance to raging waters, they would probably have this BIG ASS sign" so he drives by and checks it out anyway, it says "Raging Waters Entrance" but he passes it. so he goes "DAMN IT!" lol he pulled a eugene muahahaha.

arriving at raging waters, erik bought a "ticket" for 10 dollars from this woman. we hella thot he got tricked. erik was soooo scared the person wouldnt let him in hahahaha. we went on every single ride there. hella fun! there was this pirate ship thing and i hella poured water from atop onto little kids muahahaha! the wave pool was fun. i think the best part was the endless river. or lazy river what smart lo calls it. we went around like 10 times - hella relaxing. we had hella good karma that day. these girls gave us a floating thing for the river or else we were supposed to rent it. and we got free fries for lunch haha.

on the way back, we all fell asleep - hella tired. apparently i snore. so alex puts his finger in my nose and wakes me up. im like wtf.. but i go back to sleep anyway. i realized i drooled on my hand later haha. fun day! yay.

Slow Motion - Juvenile

It is time to discuss about USA basketball! yipee! today USA senior basketball team faced off against Italy in an exhibition game. score? 95-78. blowout? you bet! good sign for team USA two weeks before Olympics at Athens? FUCK NO. team USA got their asses handed to them on a platinum platter - USA 78, Italy 95. the 17 point differential would have been a 20+ point differential had Italy not taken out its star players with 4 minutes to go in the 4th quarter.

so why did team we lose? 3 main reasons.

1) we clearly cannot shoot. yes, the fancy oohs and ahhs from dunks mean shit in a real game. sure, im all for driving to get high percentage shots, but when the defense collapses, you need to kick it out. actually we did kick it out, but after kicking it out, our fucking shooters can only fucking brick every single shot. on the other hand, italy's sharpshooters nailed 3 pointer after 3 pointer - even raining them 5 feet beyond the arc.

2) we have no desire. the players are all professionals, thus they do not get to be paid to play for team USA in Olympics. the REAL dream team we should have playing is jason kidd, kobe bryant, tracy mcgrady, kevin garnett and tim duncan. how many of those are playing? just one. tim duncan is the only one who has enough heart to represent USA and realize the honor in doing so. so maybe kobe bryant has an excuse - his rape case. nonetheless, the true stars are indifferent when it comes to representing their country for something greater than money - pride. as exemplified by all other countries such as Italy, they play to prove something and oh yeah, they fucking proved they could give USA an ass whooping.

3) we are inexperienced. as larry brown stated something along these words, "it is a tremendous task to create a team from players that have never played with each other until a few weeks before the Olympics. using veteran players would be one thing, but in our case, we have 19 year olds, 20, 21 year olds, it is an almost unthinkable task to create a TEAM out of youngsters. sure they have talent, but they lack experience." and yes, a dream team consists of players with all the talent in the world. but as demonstrated by the pistons' precise demolition of the "dream team" lakers, the TEAM wins. a real team has role players. also demonstrated by the movie Miracle, based on the true story of the 1980 USA hockey team in the Olympics. instead of using all star players from the NHL to play olympics (which they lost to russia's national team without much effort in an exhibition game), USA used college players that were hand picked to create a TEAM, no one exceptional, but the TEAM was exceptional. of course the TEAM won - some miracle eh? additionally, other countries' national basketball team for the olympics had the luxury (and wisdom) to practice with their actual olympic squad countless months before, maybe years even.

i would like to conclude that i am embarassed by this debacle. sure, it is just an exhibition game, but it is not the first wakeup call. in the 2003 baketball world championships, USA placed 6th. thats right, 6th in the world. what the shit is that? one would think that is a fucking wake up call. but man, a USA BLOWOUT. that is embarassing. team USA better get their act together for the Olympics.

Say Goodbye - Madonna

daym yo, that song is sooo sooothing :)

yay, im back from carmel. pics. i gotta say, it wasnt as bad as i thot it would be. i did manage to survive without aim - which i am starting to not use as much anymore (pats myself on the back). i realize AIM is a waste of time - only useful for hw or when u need to talk to multiple people for important needs (not chatting). what was harder to survive without was my 800 songs on my computer. there was cable - so i could watch espn. sportscenter, stump the schwab and tennis made me feel right at home haha. dude, the schwab is friken crazyyy. he knows like every single fact in sports - its downright scary.

i watched two movies while at carmel. Love Actually and Varsity Blues. omg, varsity blues is DA SHIET. u guys gotta watch it - its a football movie - watch it even if u dont like football - its great. omg jules is so damn fine! i wish i could go out with her - she seems like the kind of girl for me lol. daym, i want to tell jules "hey, wait a minute wait a minute. i thot u only kissed heroes." lol
mox's halftime speech is so damn insipring - "we got the rest of our lives to be mediocre, but we have the opportuniy to play like GODS for the next half of football! ... we go out there and we half ass it cuz were scared, all were left with is an excuse, were always gonna wonder, but we go out there and we give it absolutely everything... thats heroic... lets be heroes.."
