Elizabeth's Funny Little Dogs

Dixie and Dolly: Are these things really dogs??

Dixie Rae is a feisty, scrappy little 5-pound Chinese Crested with a slightly tacky hairdo and one pierced ear. She looks like a cross between Joan Rivers and Big Bird, and is always the life of every party. (Dix was a Crest-Care rescue.)

Dolly Louise, a 3-year-old 6-pound Chinese Crested, is the newest addition to the pack. She's a real love bug, a velcro dog, a skin-contact junky. Also a quickdraw with the French kisses, so you have to be careful. Dolly was rescued from a puppy mill.

Finnegan's new rescue Xoloitzcuintli puppy, Hartley, August 2004. Another naked dog for the Allergyhead family! Isn't she adorable? She's already a star pupil at Ian Dunbar's Reform School for Bad Puppies.

In memory of sweet, timid little Mouse, a puppy mill rescue who passed away on August 3, 2003. She was my best girl for four years.

In memory of Nancy Jo who passed away on April 23, 2004, at age 17. Nancy was rescued from the pound in March 2003, where she was about to be "put down" after her beloved owner of 16 years was hospitalized with Alzheimer's. She was a strong, brave little dog.

See the girls don their bikinis and go for a swim!
