First draft!!
Ron Engelman: We will have a couple of gentlemen come up, Michael Ray and another guy'd like to, uh, do a little bit of music- and, uh, please feel free to walk amongst those that are still here that have booths. I'd like very much to, uh, thank every one of you for coming out. Yeah, there was a little bit of, government-bashing. Yeah, there was a little bit of, Koresh-praising. But the main thing is, people here, that were here, and listened today, learned an incredible amount of information from some incredible people. And I personally on behalf of the Branch Davidians, Rita Riddle, Catherine Matteson, David Thibodeau, and, the rest of the Branch Davidians that are here today, and Dewey Millay, for putting up all of this. They got, they arranged to get all of the tents, they arranged to get all of the, the, uh, chairs, they arranged for electricity throughout here- and, my name is Ron Engelman, and God bless you. [light applause]
I think it's a wonderful thing that everybody decided to come out here today after listening to all the absolute pure balderdash that we have been force-fed, for the last, few months. And I think everybody should be actually quite proud of yourself for standing up for something like this.
How many of you folks know Sheila Martin?
But this is a song- I wrote this song before I met, Sheila Martin. She has experienced a horrendous loss, as we all have. And this is a song actually, if you can imagine Sheila- singing this song- it might help. It's called, "In Heaven Someday." And the last, the last thing in the entire song- the three words I'd like for you to help me with, if you will, are- "in heaven, someday-" those are the only three words, that you have to remember, and if you would... If you'd help me, I would appreciate it. This is called "In Heaven Someday."
There's no answers to the questions
There's no reason to the rhyme
And unlike most afflictions
This will not heal in time
So why, have
I, arrived, today
To what great purposes
As I ache, to touch, the ones I love
And to give my child a kiss
Maybe tomorrow
When I wake from this dream
God is God, and Man, is Man
God makes,
the rules, He knows, the plan
Though darkness
is now, I know when I pray
I'll be
with my family, in heaven someday
In heaven
someday
Could you folks sing that easy part, "in heaven someday," it goes like this:
In heaven someday
In heaven someday
Real loud if you can: "in heaven someday." Let's make 'em a, all the way to the bus, if they can hear us at the bus: "in heaven someday." And you keep singing that. "In heaven someday." Keep going.
There's no answers, to the questions
There's no reason, to the rhyme
And unlike, most afflictions
This will not, heal in time
God is God, and Man, is Man
God makes, the rules, He knows, the plan
Though darkness is now, I know as I pray
That I'll be with my family, in heaven someday
In heaven someday
I see ya- that's right!
In heaven someday
In heaven- someday
[applause] Thank you very much. Greg is here!
This is a song, to, dedicated to David Koresh, and the Branch Davidians. It's called "A Memory Of."
Today I felt the heartache
As my friend sailed away
To the sunrise of the mountain
And all the days in between
But I felt the sunshine
On my back, telling me
He's goin' to Shiloh
He's goin' to Shiloh
He's goin' to Shiloh
Eternity
He had a heart as big as the sun
Shining down on me
I felt the touch on my shoulder
And he said to me
Know what I mean
I was a poet
But now they'll
Listen to me
Cause I've left my true feelings
For everyone to see
As I drove down the hillside
I turned and looked that way
One more time, one more moment
Our believing's passed away
But I remembered the sunshine
On my back, telling me
He's goin' to Shiloh
He's goin' to Shiloh
He's goin' to Shiloh
Eternity
He had a heart as big as the sun
Shining down on me
I felt the touch on my shoulder
And he, he said to me
Know what I mean
I was a poet
But now they'll
Listen to me
Cause I'm goin' to Shiloh
I'm goin' to Shiloh
I'm goin' to Shiloh
Eternity
He's goin' to Shiloh, and they're going to listen to him now. [applause] Thank you, God bless you.
