MISSIONS
1.Escape from Theed - Rescue Captain Kael, and escape
the city alive!
Okay, here we go. Start by
following the pathway, running over all the droids. Don't bother
with your cannon or missiles yet. You'll eventually come to
another speeder under attack by Droidekas. Just pound away with
your laser and then follow him out into the plaza (heres a tip:
Hit them while there roling for a straight-away kill). Follow
Kael, running over/blasting droids as you go, until he stops
again. First, turn round and fire two missiles and a barrage of
laser fire to take out that tank! Go through the arch he was
guarding, grab the bonus, sharp turn back out and blast the
droidekas. Then, another round of following Kael, shooting the
droids as you go. Be careful not to shoot the civillians! When
you reach an area with a road, and an area underneath a balcony,
take the balcony to run over droids and avoid a tank! Finally,
you'll come to stop in the hangar. Shoot the droidekas, blast the
tank when it appears, and thats level one, sorted!
CHALLENGE: Destroy all
Federation presence in Theed.
2.Neimodian Plunder - Reach the swamps , and protect the
farms!
For this level you're in the
Heavy STAP. Yuk, it is a terrible craft. But it has a healthy
supply of missiles...save these for the tanks at the end of the
level. You'll start off behind Kael, and he is being chased by
STAP. Stap are your main enemy for most speeder levels, they are
fast, manouverable and they can't be run over! Oh well, just
blast them, and follow Kael, shooting all STAP you see. HINT: Use
the Sharp Turn! Use it often, and use it well! Keep the STAP off
Kael's back, until you reach the farm. It's under attack! Circle
the farmhouses, shooting all STAP you see. They are stationary,
blasting away at the houses, so its not too hard. Then, in comes
the second wave. Just lay waste to these. Once the farm is safe
(Sykes says soemthing like "Excellentt!") then follow
Kael, blasting droids. When you get the tanks on the bridge
prompt, go ahead and missile those tanks. Now, fall back and
stick with Kael, until you enter the hangar, and get the police
cruiser. Then, fly out into the sea...
CHALLENGE: When you
have the cruiser, go back and decimate every Federation unit on
the map.
3.Naboo Bayou - Protect the houseboats, and rescue Vedd
Deviss!
Okay, you dont have much time
here. From the start, line up with a gunboat (the white ones),
slam the brakes and fire. Then, once its gone, move onto the next
one. You might consider using your torpedoes on these boats.
Continue until the fighters arrive. Your first arial dogfight!
Well, its more like a chase. Take 'em out, then escort the boats
down river, blasting more fighters, until you see the video with
Vedd Deviss stuck on an island. Fly over there, and then blast
the fighters and bombers (bombers first) until there all gone.
Now, Vedd can help ou serch for the mysterious smuggler who may
be able to help you...
CHALLENGE: Destroy all
Opee Sea Killers that you see underwater.
4.Smuggler Alliance - Find and escort the smuggler!
Flying along the mountains in
your police cruiser, with Vedd and Kael as your wingmen, you must
find the smuggler. But, suddenly, a trio of droid starfighters
come and cripple your ship, so, gliding it into a hangar, you
launch a Flash speeder to help you search for him.Follow the
radar until you reach a home under attack. Destroy the attacking
droids, and that ojective is complete. You could drive
off, looking for the smuggler. Well, dont. Two more STAP are
arriving. Destroy them. DON'T shoot the man, he will now lead you
to the ADVANCED MISSILE bonus! Once you have it, follow the radar
until you see ANOTHER homestead under attack, along with masses
of droids. YOU CAN'T DESTROY THEM ALL! THERES TOO MANY! So just
sneak round the side of them, and you will see...the smuggler!
Destroy the tanks and STAP attacking him, and then drive along
the edge of the mountain, taking out enemy tanks firing on him.
If you hear: "Naboo boy, tanks are up ahead!", then
scramble to intercept them! When you arrive at the bridge, blast
the tanks, cross over andvoila! Level complete.
CHALLENGE: Save the
second homestead you see that is under attack.
5.Hutt's Retreat - Escort Borvo's flagship to his base, and
liberate the starfighter factory!
Start off by blasting hte
STAPs that come at you, then soon oyu'll reach a hangar. Get your
Police Cruiser, and Vedd will go back and get a speeder. Anyway,
progress throughout the canyon, taking out droid fighters as they
arrive. When you come aross a minefield, Borvo's craft will hang
back, giving you a chance to destroy the mines. With a
combination of a good aim, the brake and the sharp turn, you
should destroy them all in one pass. Continue until you reach
Borvo's base, destroying all turrets, droid fighters and mines
you see. When you are at the base, vaporise the bombers and take
out those tanks! The base has been reclaimed, and the Naboo can
finally take the ofensive! But, not in the police crusiers, they
cant. They need something like a N-1 Naboo Starfighter...luckily
the N-1 Factory is nearby! Start off by destroying the perimeter
turrets (torpedoes?), then destroy the tanks and any air support.
Then you'll switch to the N-1, and Kael will lead you, Vedd,
Hollis and Kol Kotha up to the stars...
CHALLENGE: In an
aircraft, destroy Vedd's speeder (note: you
will lose level!)
6.Disruption of Comm 4 - Destroy all 3 slave sattelites, and
destroy the Comm Sattelite!
Space combat! Woohoo! Start
off by taking several barrages of shots at the blue sheilds. For
some reason, each hit is 1 kill. So do this until the radar
flashes, then line up the radar and throttle off towards the
first sattalite. With a combination of torps and blasters,
destroy the sattelite. Don't forget to take out the mines! Move
on to the next one, and then the final one. (TIP:Get as far away
from the sattalites as possible, slam the brake, blast all mines
in your way, then a few missiles and a lot of blasts at the
sattelite. Swing away when you get close, and repeat). Once all 3
are down,. fly back to the Comm-Satt, and take out the missile
launchers (not neccacary, but would you rather have a homing
missile in your port engine?) Then, fly up top and use all your
remaining missiles on the 'mushroom' bit of the sattelite, then
continue with a barrage of lasers. (get as far out and use the
brakes). Continue until it explodes. Excellent, you've crippled
the Trade Federation communications to the base in the polar ice
region. So, the droids there are de-activated!
CHALLENGE: Get more
kills then there is enemys on the level. (note:
see Tips and Tricks for soloution)
7.Glacial Grave - Destroy the Federation base, and steal a
Gunboat!
Okay, it won't be long before
the Federation get another sattelite out, so act fast. Target one
platform, destroy all turrets, move onto the next. Aim to get
about three done before the droids re-activate. Then, follow your
flight around, obliterating all enemys. Every red dot on the
raddar must go! A pretty straitforward level, really, apart from
the end. In the small lake area, take out the Sheild Generators
(they look like the tops of batteries) and get inside that
Gunboat hangar. Just go upsream, destroy the barrier and continue
up the stream. Mission, done.
CHALLENGE: Take out as
many platforms as possible before the base re-activates.
8.The Andrevea River - Liberate the prisoner camps, and
destroy the Federation base!
I don't like this level.
Progress slowly upstream, stopping to blast all mines and gun
sites. When the Federation patrol come over, it may be tempting
but don't shoot them. They think that you are a neimodian
escaping from the attack on the Federation base. When you reach
the prisoner camps, before firing, just swim round a little,
noting the location of the two sort of buildings that seem to be
generating light and have turrets in front of them. Once you spy
one, stop, arm your projectile launcher, and fire just in-between
the turret and the building to knock both out at once. Make your
first shot count, because the second you fire, then the entire
base will attack you. Once that buildings out, take out the
second. Now Borvo will send transports to save the prisoners,
with Lutin Hollis and Captain Kael escorting him.. After the
video, chase the sentry. Watch out for the mines it will lay! It
is imperative that you take out the sentry and it's partner (who
joins the chase in a minute) before it reaches the base. Well,
not imperative, but if it reaches the base, then you'll have no
breathing space when you get there. So with them taken out, float
into the base. However, theres a problem. Borvo hasn't got enough
transports to carry all the prisoners, so you'll have to escort
them to the base in the ruins (next level). Vedd will come and
give you some air support but this base is laden with anti-air
missile turrets. You need to take them out! The missiles can't
hit you, but the laser cannons can! Go round, elimenating laser
cannons and gunboats, then make a second pass, taking out the
missile turrets. Watch out for the droid bombers! When all
missile turrets are gone, Vedd will swoop in and the level will
end. Now to escort those prisoners to the safe ruins.
CHALLENGE: Destroy all
of the Federation units at the first base.
9.Sanctuaryl - Escort the convoy to the sanctuary in the
ruins.
You begin in your gunboat,
chugging along to the docks, past the picteresque city of
Clarentina, when, suddenly, BOOM! The Trade Federation begin a
raid on the city! Your primary objective is to protect the
gunboats, so don't worry about the city. Use up all your
projectiles on the tanks, and then enter the hangar and get the
Police cruiser. Yes, you heard me, the Police Cruiser. Use your
torps on the tunnel, and use your remaining torps and lasers on
the tanks. Also, blow up the clock tower in the city to release
two 'trapped' flash speeders, who will join your convoy. Once the
tunnel is down and the tanks gone, go get your N-1. The
houseboats will trade in for flash speeders, and you must escort
them through the canyon to your base. Harder than it sounds.
Whenever Vedd warns you about fighters, get back there and trash
'em up. When you reach the blockade of tanks, fly behind them
and take them out. Eventually you'll reach the ruins and the
speeders will stop - well done. You've just conquered one of the
hardest levels in the game - and lived to tell the tale! NOTE:The
difficulty level is greatly reduced once you get Homing Clusters
Proton Torpedoes.
CHALLENGE: Destroy the
tunnel in your gunboat
10.The Search for Captain Kael - Deal with the mining company,
and find Captain Kael!
Don't bother with the STAPs at
the start. Too hard to hit. The AAT on the bridge won't cause too
much trouble, you can just speed past them. Blow 'em up if you
feel like it, but save some missiles for later. Then, follow your
sensors until you reach a mining facility under attack. Destroy
the 3 AAT to save it. But is the operation legal? It seems not.
So now you must turn on this illegal operation (run by Borvo, I
might add) and destroy all turrets. Watch out for the transports
that come - destroy them before they can steal the crystals! Once
all turrets are gone, you can continue on the search. If your
shields are low, just drive into the blue area in the wierd
building in the middle of the mine to recharge your energy. Then,
using the location Hollis has provided as a guide, head for Kael,
elimenating all AAT and bombers as you go. Once these are gone,
the level will end. You'll arrive at the wreck of Kael's N-1,
where you can learn the full story. The Hutt betrayed Kael,
shooting him down and keeping the rescued Naboo as slaves to sell
on the black market. Kael gives you his final order - take down
the Hutt - and dies. You weren't expecting that, were you? Now
lets go get revenge!
CHALLENGE: Take down
Borvo's flagship as it escapes!!! (note:
probably not possible - but have a go anyway!)
11.Borvo the Hutt - Gain revenge on the smugglers, and free
the prisoners!
This is one of the most fun
levels. It consists of dogfighting, dogfighting and a tiddy bit
of escort. First, dogfighting! Take out all Borvo's minions (and
his turrets). This is fun! 1 missile will take each one, but you
may want to save your missiles for later. Now, go towards the
area with loads of mines, blast all the mines and meet Kol Kotha
- who wishes to join your cause! He willl lead you to Borvo, just
keep him out of danger by eliminating turrets. When you reach
Borvo, pause the game, smile, and carry on. For fighting Borvo is
the equvilant of Seerdon in Rogue Squadron. After listening to
Adela Tyché, take out the two missile turrets first, then all
the laser turrets. By now Vedd and Hollis will have arrived, so
let them tackle the fighters while you attack Borvo. Just torp
him until he dies. Well, he actually escapes but
you can call him dead if you want. Now, its time to get an army
together so that you, Hollis, Vedd and Kotha can actually fight
back. The best way to go about it - liberate a prisoner camp!
CHALLENGE: Take out
Borvo before Vedd and Hollis arrive.
12.Liberation of Camp 4 - Find the camp, and liberate the
prisoners!
This level is so long, it
actually consists of two levels (sound familiar? Don't worry,
unlike Coruscant on JPB, you won't become endlessly
frustrated). The first stage is the approach to the camp. First,
you will try to get in through the heavily guarded valley
entrance, but thats too heavily guarded, so break off an attack.
You'll have to get in the back way, but first save the farms that
are unde attack. Once these are saved, find the river and head up
it until you reach the camp. Destroy the droid fighters and
turrets and then you'll enter the hangar, take out a Heavy STAP
and begin Stage 2...
Stay near a transport, and
smuggle in when the gates open. Blast the heavy STAPs, then go up
the ramp, ignoring the tank. When you reach the top, take out the
tank and destroy the shield generator (it looks like a squashed
cyliner with a yellow flashing light on top). Enter the complex,
blast the doors down and then get out of there, heading up the
ramp outside the prison to the next area. Go into the hangar and
get out a Gian Speeder. Now you must liberate the prisons on your
left. To do that, blow up the stacks of boxes that are next to
the wall, and enter through the newly revealed hole. Once inside,
blast the doors, shoot the shield generator and head to the
opposite camps. Free the prisoners. You now have an army! But
first you have to get out of the camp - and the exit is blocked
by shields! So go up the ramp that is in your current prison,
take out the generator and the turret, then shoot back down
again, and leave the main camp. But you still have to get past
the Trade Federation outpost set up directly outside the camp! As
you enter, you'll be ambushed by tanks - take 'em out!
Eventually, Hollis, who left earlier in the level to search for
his family, will return and make an attack run on the outpost.
The walls are badly damaged, but the shield gate is still active.
So you must go through the hole in the wall, up the ramp, take
out the generator and the turret (if your going for Gold,
nows a time to get the bonus), and get back down to the
ground, where you can just drive out of the complex with your new
army. Now you can move against the Federation!!
CHALLENGE: Destroy the
landing ship.
13.The Queen's Gambit - Protect Captain Panaka, and bomb the
convoy!
But you never get the time.
Shortly after assigning groups and leaders, the Queen returns to
Naboo. Panaka rounds up all the leaders to a secret meeting in
the Gungan swamps, but he gives you a special duty. The mission
starts off with Panaka gathering up the forces. You and a troop
from the rescue will be driving along in your speeders, when
Panaka calls. He's directly ahead - but being attacked! Rescue
him! Once you do, he will give you a heads-up on the plan and
order you to send your troops to the South Ridge. He will then
instruct you to stop a Trade Federation convoy. So continue
along, blasting enemys until you reach the airbase. Once there,
blast the tanks and then go get a Naboo Bomber. This is worse
than the Y-Wing in Rogue Squadron. It goes mega slow, has weak
and inaccurate blasters and 6 re-generating bombs. It takes 2
bombs to destroy an MTT, and you have four MTT to destroy. Follow
your radar, and destroy the MTT using bombs. Try to go as high as
possible to avoid the Federation forces, but watch out for mines!
Once all four MTT are gone, the level ends. A speeder is waiting
for you outside the city. (HINT: When you have Cluster Seeker
Missiles, use the N-1 to get Gold instead of the bomber.)
CHALLENGE: Get Gold
using the Bomber.
14.Panaka's Diversion - Reach the hangar, and take part in
Panaka's diversion!
Heres the plan - The Trade
Federation have launched massive forces to decimate the ranks of
the RSF. Luckily, the Gungans will distract them by holding a
massive battle on the plains of Naboo outside Theed, giving the
RSF and Amidala, aided by two Jedi, time to capture the Viceroy
of the Trade Federation, who they will order to surrender. In
case the plan fails, however, Bravo Flight will be launched into
space in an effort to destroy the droid control ship that
controls all the Droids. With this gone, the droids will
de-activate immediatley. To actually get the RSF ground troops
into the palace (via the palace security hangar) Panaka plans to
create a diversion for the guarding tanks. Your group has been
ordered to take part. Start off by finding Kol Kotha and
following him, blasting all droids you see. Then, once you see
the cut-scene, go rescue Palmer. When you reach a barricade, take
out the droids while Kol shoots at the barrier. Once Palmer is
safe, lead the group to a large plaza, where you will meet Group
Four and a group of commandoes, who will help get you through the
huge titanium door tthe Federation have set up, blocking the
palace from intruders. Once the commandoes are there, and there
is no more enemys in the plaza, go ahead, blasting the few droids
until you reach another plaza, surrounded by battle droids. Blast
'em all, starting with the ones nearest the entrance. When the
commandoes are out, stay away from them until the door explodes.
Go through the door until you reach the archway. Slow down! Stop
on Panaka's command and charge up your cannon. Aim it at the
first tank (if you are still under the archway, it won't bother
you) and fire on Panaka's command! (Just like in the
movie!!!) Now, charge up again, enter the fray and destroy
the other three tanks. Now, all forces will enter the hangar!
CHALLENGE: Destroy all Federation presence in Theed.
15.Battle for Naboo - Decimate the droid fleet, and destroy
the control ship!
This is it. First, you must
dogfight against loads of droids. Don't use all your torps!
Continue destroying droids until you advance towards the Control
Ship. Here's were the fun begins! This MAMMOTH ship is one of the
best things in the game! It's just so detailled! The little
radars on the sides can be blown apart, you can shoot the
transmitters on a whim...it's brilliant! But you have a job to
do. Destroy the 3 remaining tractor beam generators (make sure
you have got them all before you fly past the 'arms' of the ship,
its annoying to get nabbed by a tractor when youre not expecting
it) and then go round to the 'neck' of the ship (connecting the
near-circle to the ball) and torp the sheild generator (fire
lasers at the top 'box', just in front of the transmitter arials
first. If the shots glow green, then thats where you have to hit.
So torp and fire at it until it explodes. And remember, earlier,
one of your fighters entered the main hangar? Well, now, just as
you can really do some damage, out Anakin flies, and the ship
explodes! Anakin had flew in, destroyed the main reactor and then
flew back out again! Amazing! Now, thanks to the efforts of a
nine-year-old boy (not to mention an extremely determined
bunch of RSF members), Naboo is finally free. But it doesn't
end there...
CHALLENGE: Destroy the ship BEFORE Anakin flies in!!
Bonus Missions
16.Trade Federation Secrets (all bronze)-
Protect the base, and escort the cruiser to safety!
DID YOU KNOW:On the island in
the distance is a hidden hangar, where you can get the police
cruiser or the bomber!!!
Start off by eliminating the starfighters. When the STAPs arrive,
you may wanna shoot 'em but there hard to hit. You'd be better
off leaving them to the bases's cannons and going the direction
that the STAPs came from, until you see some tanks. Lots of 'em.
Get behind them and blast them before they reach the base! Then
comes the MTT. Let it unload, then vaporise it. If the battle
droids are still in a big croud, fire loadsa shots to knock a
load of 'em out of commision. When the Republic Cruiser arrives,
defend it from the starfighters and then escort it over the sea.
After you've beaten the level, look at your juicy Episode 2
spoiler (I say no more) and then go for all silvers!
CHALLENGE: Complete it with the Bomber.
17.Encounter on Coruscant (all silver)-
Chase and defeat Lord Maul!
Get the clusters (see Tips and
Tricks), swing round, find Maul and torp him (with homing
torps/clusters). A job well done.
CHALLENGE: Destroy Maul using only lasers.
18.The Dark Side (all gold)- Protect
the Federation forces, and destroy the Naboo rebels!
Oh yes! You ARE Darth
Maul! Pity his ship isn't all it's cracked up to be. First take
out the gians, then go into the swamps and decimate all Naboo
(including the Gungans and the houses. Yes, you get to shoot
Gungans! *gets stampeded as a horde of people rush to play this
level* This level isn't too hard. Once you beat it you get the
Infiltrator on normal levels :)
CHALLENGE: Get 100% accuaracy with the Infiltrator.
WELL DONE! (now go get all platinum medals!)
