Epilogue

“See everything is fine.” Dan said as he and Deanne walked into the reception.

“I always knew it would be.” Deanne said confidently.

Dan gave her a look.

“What?! I did.” She said.

“Riight.” He replied with a laugh as he leaned over to kiss her.

“So Mrs. Miller…” Dan started but was interrupted by Jennifer and Matt walking toward them.

“Where’s the fire guys?” Deanne joked.

“At the hospital.” Matt said.

“Huh?” Dan asked.

“The baby…it’s time.” Jennifer said.

“You’re kidding?!” Deanne asked in disbelief.

“I wish I was.” Jennifer said.

“Well why are you standing here? Go!” Dan said.

Matt ushered Jennifer out of the hall and Deanne turned to Dan.

“Everything will work out fine huh?”

“For you and me anyway. Let’s just hope Jennifer figured out how to get that baby out.” Dan said.
