“Alright. Add it to the list.”
Deanne and Dan were spending the afternoon finishing up registering for wedding gifts.
“Did I tell you Jacob called yesterday?” Dan asked.
“Oh…he put down his guitar long enough to dial the phone?”
“Be nice. He’s like my brother.”
“Yeah, yeah. So what did he have to say?”
“He and Janie will be at the wedding.”
“Heaven forbid he actually conform and send in the response card like the rest of the world.”
Dan rolled his eyes.
“Have you heard from Ash, Trevor, or Erik?”
“Yeah, Ash will be there. Trevor too. Erik said if his sore throat doesn’t get any better, which it won’t ‘cause you know he won’t go to the doctor, he can’t come.”
“He did not.”
“I know, I just like to give him grief.”
“You’re good at that. What time are we supposed to be at Jennifer’s house?”
“What do you mean I’m good at that? 6:00.”
“Joke honey. Then we’d better get a move on.”
“Agreed.” She replied as the couple continued their trek through the store hand-in-hand.

“So have you finally picked out names?” Deanne asked.
“Sort of.” Jennifer said.
“We each have a boy and girl name picked out.” Matt explained.
“Do share.” Alexis urged.
“I like Emily and Marc.” Jennifer said.
“And I like Tess and William.” Matt said.
“Maybe you can combine them or something.” Deanne suggested.
Jennifer shrugged.
“We’ll figure something out. Right now I’m more concerned with how I’m getting this baby out.”
“Point taken.” Deanne said. “Makes me think of a certain scene in ‘Chasing Amy.’”
“Eww…Deanne is talking about slashy tendencies.” Alexis joked.
“Sick monker.” Jennifer said.
“Has anyone even noticed our girls are a bit…off?” Dan asked Josh and Matt.
“And you guys wouldn’t have it any other way.” Deanne said.
