Flood
World

Dear
Diary,
Whew! Another
close call. Too close if you ask me. After all, I'm still sopping wet
and miserable. But definitely glad to be alive!
Let me backtrack.
We slid to a new earth, just moments after Quinn and the Professor
reunited with us at the hippie commune. We were there only a few
moments, when we heard this eerie rumbling. Then the ground started
shaking a bit, kinda like an earthquake.
But what it
actually was...was soooo much worse! We turn the corner, and there
was the biggest tidal wave I've ever seen in my life! I swear
Diary...it was bigger than something you'd see in the movies. I
thought we were goners for sure. Thank goodness for the Professor and
Quinn. The Professor shouted out "It must be the polar ice caps!" and
then Quinn took me by the hand and we all hightailed it to the
tallest building we could find, just hoping it would be taller than
the water. I don't think I've ever climbed stairs so fast! (Talk
about a workout!)
When the wave
broke, the water rushed through the building fast and furious. And I
almost got swept away with it! Luckily Quinn grabbed on to me and
hoisted me out to the outside of the building, which is where we all
ended up. And I haven't even gotten to the part about the sharks yet.
You see, when the water almost swept me away, I cut my leg, and it
started gushing blood. It wasn't a serious cut, but it was enough to
attract a bunch of sharks who thought they could get a free meal.
Thank goodness our...what was it that Quinn called it? Oh yeah, our
window of opportunity was only for a short time. Can you imagine
having to hold on to a building for 3 days? I shudder at the thought.
Oh...what I wouldn't give for a nice dry towel.
Love,
Wade
