:: Yazam.com ::

I have to admit I tend to browse the dark side of the web.

No, not those sites with pictures we all browse, the real dark side - those with text and graphs that would have no appeal to a stable human being.

And at one of those, ClearStation, a familiar face suddenly appeared. A Yazam.com banner, targeted at my Israeli IP. A shining beacon in the dark, a taste of home, just like the giant billboards all around us here in the Wadi. I was on my way to click it when I halted.

You see, ClearStation is a site dedicated to technical analysis of stocks traded on the US market. According to PCDataOnline, during February 2000, it was ranked number 4554 among web sites, with 148,000 unique visitors, just short of an average Israeli site. It was not a beacon of light. This banner was a targeted bait on the hook of fortune. Yazam.com are after me, assuming I was one fat Wadi shark. They were not there to offer me funding, a way to Jump-Start a Start-Up, they were there to take my money, they want ME to invest money in a Start-Up.

So I will tell you and you tell them, it was one banner impression lost. I'm no shark, a sardine maybe. I just find MACD and stochastic analysis interesting. I take the blame.

Sorry, if I misled someone.
