:: Proven Track Record ::

You probably heard it before. Professional investors always want to invest in Start-Ups where the entrepreneur has a proven track record. And they are looking for a specific track record - they are looking for an entrepreneur who has already built a successful Start-up Company in the past.

This is a though one. And it makes me think. Not once, but twice.

First because, if they would not invest in anyone without a proven track record, they will find it really hard to find anyone to invest in. After all, a Start-Up has to start somewhere.

And last because when you come to think of it, most of the successful companies I can think of where created up by talented, self-driven, young people who's only track record was at gym class (if they ever attended).

Name one.

Microsoft.

Name another.

That fruit company (Apple)

And a more recent one.

Yahoo.

And from here in the Wadi.

Checkpoint

Care to think of more, or should someone think the criteria over?
